1492 Brisbane Valley Hwy 4306, Fernvale
Hands down the best pie I have eaten to this date. Generous content, crispy pastry and spot on spices. I would highly recommend the curry pie if you'd like a bit of heat and a lot of flavour. We had to queue up and the restaurant is very popular. Service was speedy and well managed. The location is also great. Being on the side of a relatively busy highway and also in a town which attracts a lot of cyclists and hikers for Brisbane Valley Rail Road.
Not impressed with pies or sausage rolls. Not worth the effort for the hype. Customer Service was good though Everyone is entitled to their opinion. I wouldn't drive there again to taste your products. My family have also got bakery experience. I have spoken to other people who have made similar comments. Don't be bothered as you'll probably have heaps of good comments too.
Nice spot for coffee and a pie 7/6/21 wow thanks guys. Just picked up my free gourmet pie. Pork & plum. Dinner tonight. Thanks again
Wonderful pies but the Apple Charlotte, wow, never have I had anything like this before and I've been to Paris, Patisserie Capital, what a beautiful little pastry treat. I will certainly be driving way out of my way to come back for more of these, best bakery item I have ever had. I can't wait to get more to serve to friends when they come over for coffee.
Pies were good. Large, buttery pastry. Had some weird meats, camel, emu, croc. Server was spacey. Literally halfway through the order she was like "sorry I wasn't listening" then still had to repeat my order multiple times. The order was 3 pies.
This place promotes itself on its large range of great pies. The last few times we have gone we haven't been able to get our first, second, third, fourth or even fifth pie choice. We were there on a Saturday at lunchtime just after noon. We had to settle for a mince, bacon and cheese which weirdly had an egg in it, after being told it was going to be steak, bacon and cheese. This was an ok pie but not worth the trip to Fernvale
Please note this is rated based on my experience and may not reflect past or future experiences with others. It was a very rushed experience, I get you had been busy and the staff did a good job and doing the covid safe thing. The pies we wanted had not been available, so that was also disappointing. The pies honestly had not been that good. I love pies, pies are the best thing in this world. So I don’t say that lightly. They had been “good” but not award winning good. There was no, oh god this is a great pie moment. The cheese in the pie had not even melted leaving me now to question the bacon and if that was even cooked. Even the chunky steak and mushroom wasn’t chunky at all, it was mince and mushroom. Over all, the single star feels more than what I personally feel deserving. For the wait, I don’t feel it was worth it and I won’t be going out of my way to go back there again. As I said, this is my experience only and doesn’t reflect everyone’s own experience past present and future.
As tradition has it, one must stop at this town when passing through and sample the fine bakery food and a nice cup of coffee. For many years I have been on Harley rides and this is the place to stop for a break. Plenty of outdoor tables to eat at, with the whole area kept clean. Staff are pleasant and always willing to assist. Plenty of parking outside visitor information centre. Big park opposite for children to play and eat your food.
Wonderful pies... lovely pastry with a huge range of fillings. Very helpful and friendly staff
This is the best pie I can find in the Brisbane area. 100% recommend here.
