Lunch was amazing, the fried chicken burger was superb chicken was moist, the bun was soft the coleslaw wasn't big, chuncky, impossible to eat coleslaw, it was nice and light but tasty. Absolutely perfect. My partner loved his original burger aswell, loved that it was real mince not sausage mince, his burger he couldn't fault it. Staff were friendly and helpful with beer selection. Worth the 3 hr drive for 😆

Loves these guys 😍 Simple, delicious beer, hand crafted. Tasty burgers (don’t miss the curry sauce for your chips!), exquisitely renovated heritage building. Do yourself a favour and check it out but get there early to nab a table

Fantastic craft brewery. I loved the Faint Hearted IPA. Plenty of tables and spots to sit and do a beer tasting and/or have something to eat.

Feeling like one of the last beer lovers on the planet to get in here, after hearing so much praise from friends about this brewery, taproom and bistro. The praise was not overdone. Every beer a winner, the burgers were good and the takeaway beers were decent variety. Good we were stopping by the brewery on a snowy Friday evening, or we might not have gotten in. Two floors of tables and nearly all occupied. There’s a balcony in the back with a view, for when the wind chill warms up a bit from -5C. Lifting the game for a town that needs it.

I was looking forward to having a beer with my Son on Saturday afternoon 5th September and when we arrived there was a line of people waiting to get in. So we thought OK this is a Covid precaution/requirement and placed ourselves in the line. After approximately 15 minutes of absolutely nothing happening, the line hadn’t moved an inch. There was a young couple at the front of the line who’d been there for nearly half an hour and had no idea of what was happening. There was no one there keeping the waiting patrons informed as to what was happening or how long the wait was, nothing no one! Yet there were people who were leaving your establishment but those places were not being filled by those waiting in the que. Ad to this my Son decided he’d get some take away, and when he wanted to pay there was no one there to take the payment. So, we left and had a pleasant afternoon at the Station Bar where the service was excellent. I don’t personally care how good your beer may be but you really need to pick up your service game folks. 09/09/20 Since my initial review I’ve received a phone call from Harriet, one of the owners of Mountain Culture Beer Co. We had a very pleasant conversation where I explained my experience and she was most concerned. Harriet had been absent from the business on Maternity leave with her first child where normally, she would have been in a supervisory role. Harriet was most keen to discuss my concerns with the staff involved on the day, and thanked me for bringing this to her attention. I thank Harriet for her concern in responding to my experience and wish her and Mountain Culture Beer Co. all the very best and I hope to some day in the near future sample some of their beers.

Description

Our brewpub is sitting pretty in a heritage building in Katoomba, in the World Heritage-listed Blue Mountains National Park. Our building was originally the Blue Mountains newspaper offices & printing press. When we picked up the keys, it was a Civic Video store. Now, it's home to our brewpub featuring a 12 hec Premier stainless system. We brew a range of beers, from easy drinking lagers crisper than pre-dawn mountain air, to experimental NEIPAS to big Russian Imperial stouts. The question that keeps us up at night is: how can we make the next batch even better?
