Lentil As Anything Newtown

I adore this place! The menu changes and keeps me coming back. All the vegan food is prepared with such love . I applaud the “pay it forward” approach and wish all restaurants took in this model. Love the buzz and friendliest service team in Sydney!

The place has created a lovely colorful environment. Super protein salad is quite salty and yet a little spicy together with the salty make it worse. Roosted veggie, beans, purple cabbage are not blended at all.

Food tastes like home cooked meals. I really enjoyed it. Price is by donation. Be prepared to line up to get a seat or table.

I've been meaning to try Lentil as Anything for ages and I'm glad I did. The restaurant was packed but the food is simply delicious. I enjoyed a tofu ragu, savoury and sharp along with a spicy chai tea. The seating is shared. The concept of pay what you like for the meal is novel, but I do highly recommend giving what you can especially if you can as it keeps this wonderful place running.

Such a beautiful concept. You pay for the food what you can afford. If you cannot pay you volunteer and pay through helping out. You can also chose to pay it forward (pay for food you did not eat - this money will be used to pay for someone else who cannot afford a meal) there is no set menu, it is always changing. You choose from about 3 or 4 different dishes. The food I had was really wholesome and delicious. I also had the chai which was really nice. Will definitely come here again as I feel it is built on such a lovely structure and love that you have the ability to pay it forward.

Food - 2/2 Ambience - 1/1 Vegan and Vegetarian options - 1/1 Service - 1/1 I love the concept of this restaurant. You can eat whatever is available on the menu and you can pay as much as you want. I would recommend every customer to pay $10 at least, if they can afford it. The food is brilliant, I’ve never had a disappointing experience. Every thing you see in this restaurant has been donated, it’s run by volunteers and is a 100% vegan. Now that’s how you give back to the planet!

Love, love, love this place. I wish there were more community based places like it and the work they do to help people in need is incredible.

Have been to this particular restaurant a great number of times and couldn't say a bad thing about the place. They have great food and the atmosphere here is always lovely. The service is outstanding from the volunteers that they have as well. Will be back I'm sure!
