The food is nice and staff is very friendly. The restaurant works by donations so basically you pay what you can afford. I guess the main aim is to help those in the community who canβt always afford to have food. So if you can pay, pay for you and for others! They have different events on the first floor which is also by donation. Be mindful that is not a place to go on a date or something as you enter, quickly order, eat, pay and leave.
Great concept but a lot of people take advantage of this place which really upsets me They Gove so much love and care into their meals but most people don't pay anything. Very upsetting when we pay the $20 they recommend and a group of girls dressed to the nines snicker that they don't have to pay anything and walk pout!!!
We enjoyed our vegetarian lunch and our puppy was sitting outside the restaurant while eating. It is a busy place. This restaurant is a non-profit organization, mainly run by volunteers. Customers only need to pay according to their own ability. All they have done is very admirable. The food is simple but delicious. There are three options on the menu: lentil soup, pasta, sweet potatoes and rice. We have tried all three, and we like to eat spaghetti. The sauce tasted light and tender. The staff is very friendly.
I had the vegetarian lasagne which was delicious. Very friendly, laid back vibe. What a great place!
Community based restaurant. Decent food, very popular. Pay by donation, volunteer if no money. Nice atmosphere
Friendly service, interesting food that keeps rotating. Lovely payment system, one can opt to pay or work for them for a meal. Very interesting. Will come back again.. and try working there... hehe
Amazing place, they offer free English classes but if you can bring either food or money would be great. I had my first class today with 2 lovely teachers. Highly recommend.
What a great community minded place giving to anyone who asks without prejudices.
What a positive place this is! Always love coming here and experiencing healthy food in a bustling atmosphere. They have a menu that rarely rotates and that is not a criticism. Lentil as Anything know what works and it is consistently delicious. I hope this business continues to thrive.
I loved this place. Food was super yummy. I had the roast pumpkin and couscous salad and the bana bread with caramel sauce. You can so taste the love in this food. Do ureself a favour and visit. The menu generally is 5 - 6 dishes to choose from with 2 - 3 dessert options. There is chai and teas. All by donation. Thank u thank u thank uπ
