which dish would you order? 🍆 agedashi & eggplant 🍜 omusoba 🥩 special menu beef bowl 🏠: @kuujapanesecafe 📍: Park St, South Melbourne ———————————————————— 📝: Love the cute vibes of this little cafe on Park St, South Melbourne. Will have to go back for their bento boxes next time! ❤️: Felt like having the Agedashi Tofu and Eggplant set that day. Really loved the addition of mashed sweet potato balls. That best-selling Omusoba is a must order. Yakisoba noodle wrapped in omelette, how good is that?

So very Japanese in style and charm. Katsu Sando was really delicious and everything else we ordered was spot on. Great service, lovely people. Can't wait to go back.

Looking for a casual Japanese feast? Then look no further than to Kuu. We headed down here for dinner and tried the Omusoba - yakisoba topped with a fluffy omelette, Wagyu Don with tender and juicy beef, and the Agadashi and Eggplant set that comes with yummy mashed sweet potato balls. Flavours are spot on and execution are faultless. Check out their super cute chopsticks, shaped like a colour pencil. An all-round cute spot for a delicious meal.

Great spot for summer when the weather is nice. There are outdoor tables setup with some umbrellas otherwise the limited seating inside is nice too. The staff here are awesome and very friendly. Good selection of healthy options on the menu including things for the kids. Serves are a good size too. Meter parking on the street outside the cafe but if you are happy to walk 2 minutes there is a 2P car park (free) up the road, west, just before Clarendon Street.

Really good food and drinks. We also had a matcha cake for takeaway but left it in the car too long and it melted. We still ate it and it was still delicious!

We have been there today for lunch after long lockddown has finished, but we just got out as soon as sit down inside. The table was sticky, it does mean that they do not have knowledge how to clean the sticky greesy table properly, which makes me think that they have very low standard of hygeine. The shop was filled with smell of old rotten oil, and was very cluttered. Beside, the waitress? or the owner? looks like she doesn't want any customer, she looks like very tired and annoying to work. It was 12:30pm today(11/Jun/2021). Definately never gonna go back and will never recommend this dirty restaurant pretending to be a cute cafe :)
