Pleasant surprise, wiping off old time memories of bad experience. The food is the best in Syd with authentic HK chef and fresh seafood, price is actually reasonable matching what is presented. Service was rather decent. Due to covid some dish not available everyday nor the daily soup and desert. We were in newly renovated upper level which is quite nice and not as noisy as downstairs. Enjoyed all the dishes we ordered and will definitely return more often! But later we went again but on upper 3rd floor, this time service was pretty lag especially with the young Chinese lady.… Not welcoming inpatient… anyway family still give them good tips but not worthy at al

I took my Mum there for the Chinese New Year celebration today. The food was, as always spot on. We had Szechuan mud crab, scallops with veggies, and giant pacific oysters. The service however, was not good. Our first waiter was a middle aged guy who didn’t have a friendly demeanor from the very start. He took our orders as if he didn’t want to be there and had a sour face. A little bit later, we wanted to ask for something else on the menu, he said hang on a minute, and proceeded to clear the other tables In the restaurant. We came at 4pm and the place certainly was not full or busy. When I approached him, he said someone else can serve you.He called a younger lady and she was nice thank goodness. The food in this place is always good. We go there for special occasions. Sometimes we get really nice waiters and sometimes, like today, you can get one who definitely should not be doing this kind of job.

I’ve been coming here for the past 20 years or so and it never disappoints. It is, by far, the best Chinese seafood in Sydney.

Ate here with a group last month and had the worst food poisoning of my life. Ended up in hospital for 5 days with dysentery and later found out that another person who ate there in the group was sick too. I'm sure there are more however I don't want to probe them as they are work colleagues and the illness we contracted was frightful and embarrassing. I used to come here all the time but I swear I won't be returning. I have filed a formal complaint with the NSW Food Health authorities as I had to miss 1 month of work on account of my dysentery and subsequent convalescence as my kidney function was borderline due to dehydration. If this was America, I would sue.

Good traditional Cantonese food. Efficient service. Amazing XO pippies with noodles and steamed fish. We went on a Wednesday night during the lunar new year period. It wasn't too busy. Shame about the YuSheng price was so high $118 for a small. Overall a good experience. $350 for four with five dishes and a bottle of wine.

Some of the best chinese food you'll get in Sydney. Might be a bit expensive and the service is not always to be seen. Peking Duck is a must, seafood fried rice as well. XO scallops are worth a try.

Like this place despite some of the scathing reviews. All boils down to taste and ordering knowledge. It's a Cantonese Chinese restaurant, so their best dishes are usually the standards off a hot wok. My recommendation for two: half a succulent duck, salt & pepper squid & scallops & snow peas or tofu or a vegetable of your choice. Golden Century is still one of my favourite top two places in Chinatown. Keep up the great service!

The food here was of great quality - the seafood hotpot definitely used fresh plump seafood and in particular call out to the fried tofu. A call out to the service which was quite poor, the waiters were not very attentive and we seem had to remind the waiter multiple times when ordering our wine and food.

They always maintain their food for so many years. I never get disappointed with the service and the quality of food they produce
