Booked a table for a Monday night for 6, rang back later that day to alter to 7 people. No problems. Arrived at 8.15, and was told the table for 6 wouldn’t be ready for another 20mins. I questioned the “manageress” , thinking she may have misread the booking number, she then called me a liar about booking the extra person and that she couldn’t and wouldn’t accomodate another person. I was appalled that she suggested I was lying and even attempted to show her the time, the name and phone number I rang to confirm this change. She told me there was no one there by that name and that it wasn’t true and that the booking was only for 6 and that was final. Funny thing was that our friends had also booked a table that night for 6 people, she was also unbelievably rude to them as well. It appears that Gradi is now too superior to offer real customer service and their obnoxious rude staff lost 13 customers tonight as well as over a $1000 bill, which clearly doesn’t phase them. I have no idea what the food is like but if this service was any indication of the food, then they have left an extremely bitter taste in my mouth. I would never attempt to dine there again.
