117 Swan St 3121, Richmond
Such a quaint luscious space in the heart of Richmond. Great food and a friendly atmosphere. The cafe is a great place to catch up with friends, get some work done or even just to relax and enjoy the people watching. Great place make sure you take the time to visit and stay for a coffee.
Had a good, quick lunch of starters and a glass of wine. Nice atmosphere and tasty food.
Given the amount of competition for breakfast places in this location I would have expected better for the price. Had the Shakshuka dish with chorizo, the chorizo cost an extra $5 and it was tiny, I also thought this would have been mixed into the dish rather than just on the side. After having a Shakshuka recently at Tall Timber in Prahran, this one was quite bland in comparison but portion size was fine and there was plenty of bread.
Food was delicious and service is great.
Great feasting menu, excellent service, atmospheric. Will be back!
I've been to Feast of Merit once before for a client lunch, so I was pleasantly surprised to see it open last night for dinner. The place was pumping which was fantastic to see after lockdown. We walked in but couldn't get anyone's attention, however 3 out of 4 tables outside were vacant, so we sat down to wait until they had a moment. A waitress came over to us and rudely asked "Can I help you? No we're fully booked". I just can't understand why she was offended to have walk ins? Although we were hopeful we didn't have high expectations of getting a table, but I still expect to be treated politely.
Do yourself a favour - get the banquet! You'll be treated to amazing morsels and flavour combinations from the menu, all served personally by the chef to your table. This was such an unexpected delight when we happened to walk in here on a Friday night. The staff are friendly, even when the place is packed and a line of people are waiting to be seated. They know the menu well and will accommodate where they can. The fried chicken dish (can't recall the name of the menu) was the star of the 6 dishes we tried. It looked so unassuming on the menu but the flavours were amazing. They have a rooftop terrace for dining which we'll be back to try out in summer.
So much flavour in the food.
You canβt miss this place with the huge colourful mural on the side of the building. Huge open windows and plants hanging from the roof makes it feel cosy yet light and breezy. Food is absolutely beautiful - Great menu - and the Israeli Sandwich was sensational! Coffee is excellent , as is the friendly service. Nice spot to relax.
Staff super friendly and attentive, food delicious. Nice atmosphere though a touch noisy. Highly recommend.
