I went here very excited to eat the food (especially the meat) and was very disappointed. The meat was sub-par at best and was not worth the price paid. Save your money and go elsewhere.
My favourite coffee in Prahran. They have some really cute gifts in here too
Wow…. The reviews do not do this place justice; the atmosphere, ambience, food and service were all 10/10. We loved everything from start to finish. I’d like to give a special mention to our Waiter Oscar- He was brilliant, very very kind, made sure that me and my partner had a great night- he was funny and had a great personality (Thank you Oscar, you truly made our night special). We had a three course meal and each meal was amazing! Entree-10/10 Main-10/10 Desert-10/10 On top of all this they had a live pianist whom played one of my favourite songs. Would definitely recommend and come back again!
Fabulous from beginning to end! Great service and beautiful food. The fillet steak and creme brulee were a stand-out. Very reasonable food prices but if you want to get the wine - be prepared to take out a second mortgage!
Beautiful restaurant with friendly staff and great French food
Entrée & dessert were the best, mains were a big let down, especially the steak and fries. It came out with very poor presentation, exactly like pub food. Taste wise was very average, didn’t reach expectations or match the elegant seating/atmosphere. We didn’t enjoy mains. For $100 pp, we expected much nicer.
Steak was quite good and the beef tartare was decent too. The French onion soup was nice but nothing special, and the vegetarian pie main had lovely pastry but wasn't a great dish. The decor and piano playing was interesting and novel but ultimately didn't really enhance the experience. Also the customer service was poor and the toilets were surprisingly narrow And parking sucked Im giving it 4 starts but it's closer to a 3.5, especially when you factor in the price
Service was friendly. Our main waitress was excellent but some of the waitresses bringing out the food were a bit uncoordinated. There was some issues having to move plates to fit the table and then some catching of lettuce (by me) as it flew off the bowls. Waitress with the condiments had trouble understanding our questions. Food was nice but didn’t quite hit the mark. The bar staff made some excellent cocktails and the decor was lovely. All in all, an ok Mother’s Day meal but wouldn’t return.
Gorgeous atmosphere and good lighting. Love the steak tartare. The steaks could be a lot juicier and better quality judging from the price. Had a nice time there.
Impeccable service and quality BUT very average in terms of the kitchen. The meat is not really of French standard. Also overcooked. The warm goat cheese salad does not contain salad. Creme brulee that is terribly lacking in vanilla. Profiteroles: too small in quantity. The cabbage is very hard. The bread is defrosted looks like not really good. The butter is French and excellent.
