Clove Indian Restaurant

The Colonial British Indian restaurant left me with aftertaste of flavourful masala. Fluffy and soft naan with infused herbs & masala garlic with creamy Kofta dish was delightful. Masala papad had right amount of chilly and chat. Enjoyed the cocktail ‘Spice Sutra’ served in a chai cup. Overall, I enjoyed the food experience. In Frame: Masala Papad

Casually went out around Darlinghurst while craving for something authentic in taste. Came across colonial with friends for dinner. Had the Vegetarian Platter (9/10), Panner tikka masala (full marks!) and Daal Makhni along with the Garlic Naan. A good Naan makes all the difference to the meal! A must try for authentic Indian Restaurant!

Had a fabulous dinner at the restaurant this evening (18th Sept). The entrées were of good portion & the mains were delicious. Good proportion, extremely filling for a couple. The cherry on top was our hostess Lara! She is one of kindest & one of the most sweetest hostest I've come across. She made our meal even more wonderful. Will definitely recommend this place to every person who enjoys a good Indian meal. Cheers!

We got delivery, so apologies for the globby photos. It was great that they had a vegan menu which is something there should be more of. That's probably where the compliments end. To put it bluntly it tasted like food made for vegan white people. It was bland, no real burst of any spices, tofu was just sliced and plonked in. I've made better meals with a jar of Pataks. They just stopped caring. Maybe they stopped caring by 30% or whatever uber was charging them but they just did. Oh and the papadams were just so small.

5 start rating is not enough. Such amazing curry's full of flavour and spicy!! Service was great too. Will be back

All the food we had what is very nice and not too spicy for us the service nad atmosphere good but a bit too loud for ME Douglas.
