140 Beamish St, Campsie 0, Sydney
Don't go here. Manic, busy, crowded, crammed and not a pleasant place. Rude waitresses. We asked for Jasmine tea and water. She frowned at us and said we could only have one cup of water to share as they 'didn't have anymore cups' (?). Portions smaller compared to Penang Hawker which has more Malaysian dishes. Won't be returning here.
With bak kut teh I personally like the strong herbal taste, so this one served at Cinta Rasa is probably one of the better ones I've tasted in a while. Only criticism is that they should put more meat on it! I'll be back to try other dishes for sure!
Delicious food if not a little sparse as far as the restaurant itself is concerned. Still, you come for the food, not the ambience and the food was on point.
Warning - You are not here for the ambiance or service. The atmosphere is like a crowded Asian hawker stall, elbow to elbow. Service is straight to the point and abrupt, to the uninitiated - almost rude. Also, they are CASH ONLY. However, you re not here for those things. You are here good quality Malay food, at decent sized portion, at a reasonable price. Hence you are willing to compromise and forgo some other services. Popular with locals and those in the know for a taste of Malay cooking, booking is essential. Even then, ensure your whole party is there on time or you might still lose your reservation.
One of the Malaysian gems around the inner west. Always consistent with their dishes, expect some tasty meals here. The satay chicken skewers are amazing!
rainy autumn Friday night came here with friends, managed to get a good parking spot round the corner. Food was great, I got yam spicy chicken, waitress was amazing at explaining dishes and catering for changes.
Excellent food, a bit crowded but hey if food is good it cant be empty..
Very busy and noisy but understandable given the tasty food and great value!
Good value, tasty and varied Malaysian food. Went for lunch and ordered a variety of dishes. All were tasty. The taro nest with pork is delicious, as are the buttered prawns. Very good char kuey tiao, chicken rice and achar pickle. It's not a fancy place at all but service is adequate and the food is yummy (and excellent value).
Seafood Laksa was great & piping hot when served. Nice flavour with spices & the coconut milk. Hint would be to add some Sambai sauce to make it tangy! Noodles were just right though better if thick noodles was the option & bit more generous with prawns serve... Good service & is busy since it's popularity.
