2 Angel Pl 2000, Sydney
There was limited choice and most food was unappetising. We waited more than 40 minutes for our meal which was just above average but not worth the price we paid. We were seated outside which was cold and the staff were unfriendly, not the level expected of a restaurant at this price. Not coming here again...
Had a salmon sashimi. Quite spicy but very nice. Tempura whiting beautifully done. Nice white Italian wine. Staff very helpful with an egg allergy.
A cozy restaurant tuck away in Angel Pl that specialised in fusion-Asian dishes. The ambiance is good, perfect location next to the theatre. The food was surprisingly delicious and moreish. Highly recommended the Shanghai xo noodles. The place was fully packed by 6pm.
Magnificent food. Value for money.
China Lane is one of my favourite places to eat in Sydney, especially on a nice summers evening. Ambience is lovely with the bird cages and bird sounds, but disappointingly this was impacted by nearby smokers. The staff were friendly and helpful with gf and DF options, which were vast. In the past I think there were a couple of my favourites which were gf being the salt & pepper prawns but perhaps the menu has changed. We had the San Choi bao, cuttlefish, John Dory and tofu & mushroom, which were all delicious! Sago and Sticky Black rice for dessert topped it off!
Everything we tried was delicious and reasonably priced. I will certainly be coming back. The only thing that put me off was the fact that we were on the shared seat next to where the kitchen is. The waiters kept bumping the back of the chair. Slightly annoying but overall good experience.
Bold flavours served amidst a fast paced atmosphere. Share style dining giving it that familiar feel to it. Must have is the pork belly... finger licking good.
$77 set menu entree comes with pickled cabbage.... r u serious? And it tastes worse than average korean side dish. Not recommended anyone with real taste for Asian fusion food. : (
Don't know how the rating is so high. Below average Asian food, at above average prices. Was expecting a bit more flavour.
Best dining experience ever, must try the Pork Belly!!!
