Great ambience. Located in a nice street near Surry Hills. The food was pretty good. We went with the surprise options (where they serve and surprise your with their choice). Weren’t disappointed at all. Plenty of food served with this option and worth the money.

Our favourite restaurant in Sydney. We make sure to book as soon as our accommodation is booked. The food is phenomenal and packed full of flavour. I was gifted one of their cook books for my birthday and can see how much time and effort goes into every single condiment. LOVE LOVE LOVE it!! The fish laksa is one of my favourite dishes x

Spectacular menu, had an amazing experience here with all the food. Great service; the staff are friendly and accommodating. The dishes came out very quick and they all tasted so good! Definitely recommend to try their curry. This restaurant is a must go to!

10/10 for the staff alone. Farmel looked after our table and he was an absolute superstar. Really accommodating, friendly, vibrant. Even if the food was bad the place would have a good review for our service experience! We chose the $70 option each where they provide a variety of dishes of their choice...amazing. Absolutely recommend. We left full and very satisfied! Can't wait to go back!

We dropped in on a holiday from Melbourne. We were sat promptly and service was fair. We ordered the prawn stir fry and the beef rib. The stir fry was Luke warm and lack lustre and the beef rib ( of which there was only one) for almost $40 was a rip off. There was not much meat in the rib and for the money I would expect much more from this dining group. The ambiance is brilliant but unfortunately chin chin needs to lift its game and not assume all diners like being taken for a ride.

We hosted a 40+ person event here and had an incredible experience from the point of reaching out to investigate the venue, all the way through to the end. Lauren was fantastic to deal with, the staff on the day were super friendly and attentive, and the food was amazing. We wouldn't hesitate to host another event here. Great work Chin Chin!

Yummy food and drinks (albeit pricey but nice for a fancy dinner). The Chin Chin pad see ew is delicious! Great vibes for a Friday night. We were sat beside the floor DJ so the noise was a bit too loud for us, but otherwise had a really nice time!

It's a.. " oh my god, like you totally have to eat here cause it's like.. like the place to eat, like totally"... place.. The music is club volume level.. cause you know"vibe"..... The food is average and way over priced. Average share or small starters are about $20-$28.. and I got the a $39 beef short rib.. and yes it was just 1 Rib. The service is run by children. And it's evident from the organisation and can't tell the difference between the service staff and the clientele... literally had to ask every random walking past for some water. Your local Thai/Malaysian place will do the same food for about half the price and about 100% less abnoxious..

Had the $88 set menu which included 8 different dishes, which were all fantastic. My favourite dish was the king fish sashimi and favourite drink was the pineapple spicy margarita. All their dishes were filled with flavour and spice and were of decent size. Only complaint was that the mint on some dishes (eg. Duck pancakes) was a bit wilted and old looking.

Very disappointed. Came here on Monday long weekend and it was incredibly busy. Frequenting the Melbourne Chin Chin I was used to their menu items. However, it was really bad. Some items weren’t edible such as the papaya salad that was drenched in sauce and we returned it. BBQ pork was dry and tasteless.. and all that for $185. We felt robbed. PS my wife is Thai and she thought it was the worst she had.

Description

A quintessentially Australian take on Asian food, the trademark Chin Chin taste is a carefully blended mix of freshness, spice, heat, exotic herbs and an obsessive need to perfectly balance all of these elements. Chin Chin lives by the philosophy that eating and drinking should be fun and relaxing much like our way of life.
