I am visiting Canberra on Thursday August 15 and want to bring an elderly couple to the cafe for lunch. Do you serve soup or sandwiches as I know they don't like big meals and prefer something under $20? Thank you

Do you have a ramp access?

If I book a table for 10 on a Saturday morning at 10 am is the reservation for an hour? and can we sit outside?

What is on the wine list?

Lovely venue but the food standard has dropped unfortunately. A limited selection and both my partners and my meals were below average. Such a shame.

Really great lunch. We (2 adults+3 kids under 7) walked across from Questacon and had a great lunch. Super fast and friendly service and the menu options are great. Really recommend this place. We then spent some time exploring the library but you don’t need to do that to eat here.

Worst cafe we have ever been to. It was the second day of our trip to Canberra from Sydney. We visited this cafe for coffee and snacks. It looks great from outside but people working are rude. They close at 15:00, we sat there at 14:40 with our coffee, told us to leave in a disrespectful manner saying they will be closing in 15 mins. Never to visit this cafe ever again. Zero hospitality experience and hot chocolate was okay.

Tasty, vibrant, and packed with a big crowd around lunch - yet we didn't have to wait too long and the food was superb.

3.6. Terrific little cafe located at the National Library. It’s a charming spot. We felt instantly at home here. And it wasn’t just the presence of the beautiful Leonard French stained glass windows either. The cafe itself is nicely appointed and just feels right. The coffee here was sound. I enjoyed it. Strong and inky will usually work. Service was a little constipated here I thought. There was just a little bit of high handedness about it. But, we were still laughing from the Inked Exhibition here at the Library - an exhibition of top Australian cartoons over the years - and just let it ride.

Very pleasant cafe with friendly helpful service. Food is fresh and tasty and the coffee worth drinking. Creative menu with good options including gluten free. Setting is delightful with stained glass windows and easy access to the library including special exhibitions. A nice place to visit or stop by on a walk along the lake.

I had the waffles, i wish i did not have the waffles. Its like going to an art contest with a stick figure drawing but everyone else does Monet quality paintings. These waffles were the stick figure drawing. So basic, underwhelming and above all, boring. Sure the passionfruit sauce is delicious but the lack of any actual individuality that separates the home cook to the Chef is disturbing. Ill make my own next time.
