I have been here a few times now and really cant fault the food, fresh tasting seafood with lovely flavours, not that fishy taste that some times you can get in seafood dishes. I don't usually have seafood chowder for that reason but Barilla Bays chowder is to die for.
I ate from the specials menu which was 1kg of prawns and they were exceptional, I also love oysters but not always natural, but once again they were yum
Little on the pricey side so expect if you are like us and had to have two or three courses at least with drinks $70 per person,
I ordered 30 oysters for the table hot and cold at $59 seafood chowder at $14.50 1kg prawns for $45 Only disappointment was the seared scallops at $29 was very poor amount with a heap of lettuce on top to hide that fact there was nothing on the plate, one of us ordered lamb and said it was lovely, I think that is all that is on the menu if your not a seafood lover
The atmosphere is welcoming and relaxing, the staff friendly and helpful, not once did any of us have to call out for service. Its just a place to for good food with good company, cant wait to return
