Although the wait staff, bar staff and cocktails we had were fantastic, the food let this place down BIG time. We had great expectations reading reviews prior to arrival, we were super excited. Ushered in as the place as they had loads of bookings on a Friday night, happy to do as asked as it was our pleasure to be there. We ordered from the well worded menu, excited to try the Bruschetta and Pan Seared Scollops as entrees - our entrees arrived in a suitable time frame - the Bruschetta was advertised to have Bocconcini and Mozzarella; what arrived instead was feta. The scallops, whilst we had 8 (small) scallops, it was still more than expected, however a broken up store brought poppadum, and without the curry leaf crust and instead of the spiced coconut sauce was in place of a heavily spiced curry paste - totally over powering the delicacy of the scallops itself. My partner and I were super excited to try the 14 hour slow roasted lamb shoulder for 2, once again, upon the lamb shoulder arriving to the table we were presented with a anemic (very tender) unseasoned lamb shoulder, the sides that were presented were par boiled chat potatoes, definitely not roasted as no crunch was in sight or feel, horrible looking half rings of carrots that looked and felt very pub style, Sunday roast, straight out of chef Mic (microwave) and unseasoned broccoli. Me being a curious creature, the menu had sides listed, I was excited by the sound of the parmesan and Jalepeno potato mash and had ordered that too, as well, wow who wouldn't want that!? Instant regret, ZERO parmesan in taste, jarred jalepnoes chucked on top - zero care or consideration in my opinion were given in delivering what we were supposed to have been presented with. I truly hope, that due to an emergency departure of a chef that my experience just offered in place of a new chef to arrive. The restaurant and surrounds were beautiful, it was comfortable and aesthetically pleasing. I was also disappointed that whilst passing on our constructive criticism and upset upon recieval of entrees and then mains that the food and beverage supervisor Patrick did not once come and see us, yet left a delightful young lady to address our concerns. Our bill totally $260 was totally not worth what we ate. We are both very well experienced the the field of hospitality.
