Had a great meal, Friday night restaurant music was great. Not too loud or over bearing. My only reason for deducting one star is if you are going to charge corkage at least provide a service. No staff opened the bottle not once did anybody pour or top up a glass.

Beautiful ambient atmosphere. My party of three expressed how enjoyable the meal was. The band played a variety of up tempo music with it being the right volume for dining. Not too loud not too soft. Service was attentative but maybe lacking a little on the warmth. Overall a lovely evening.

Lovely, filling meal in a quirky restaurant. It’s hard to tell from street level that this interesting and friendly restaurant is upstairs, but it’s definitely worth a visit. Salmon salad was delish and lamb with beautifully done fresh veg was also awesome. Staff super friendly and characterful.

Have always liked this restaurant but we went their on Xmas Day & they outdid themselves. A truly fabulous innovative Xmas lunch. We thoroughly enjoyed it .

A fabulous restaurant. Great food, fun wait staff, awesome 1920s & 40s decor. Plus you get treated to a floor show of a professional couple dancing the Tango! Sensational!

Food is alright but massively overpriced.

Great meals and a lovely decor. The meals are pricy but well worth it. Massive servings, friendly staff who happily accommodate to your settings. Nice music playing live on Friday night's not too loud but suiting the vibe of the establishment

As long-time patrons of Avalon, it never disappoints. Tasty generous sized meals. The salmon, the lamb, the chicken, it's all good. And a great range of desserts to top it off. Reasonable prices and good service. Plus great cocktails. Will be back.

My girlfriend and I have eaten at this restaurant 3 times now, including Christmas dinner this year. I have to say the food has been excellent every time and we’ve worked our way through most of the dishes on the menu! The lamb wrapped in bacon was beautifully tender and the portions are a really healthy size. Another highlight was ‘Davids’ Christmas pudding, which was delicious. The staff are all very accommodating and smiley, they genuinely look like they want to be there. Avalon is truly a wonderful restaurant, with so much character and managed by a fantastic couple! Well worth a visit when in Katoomba- the view of the Blue Mountains is stunning!
