A great feed been coming here since I was a kid and it’s only getting better, last night was a bit of a line up and the team managed it well and the wait was totally worth it. Chips on point and burgers delicious. Love the place !

Thanks Alfred’s kitchen for making the best soup I’ve ever tasted. I feel better about my 2 fruit 5 veg goal when consuming the pea and ham soup. Good atmosphere, friendly staff, delicious food. I feel like this is going to be one of the few places I’m going to associate heavily throughout my life. Awesome retro vibes with all the train car dining but also love the outside fire too. Pro tip: order the pea and ham soup and also chips, and just dip/toss the chips into the soup 😋

Always awesome street food, hang over food, late night food. BEST Pea and Ham soup you'll ever eat. Always quite busy though

Its as good as plain hearty but not fancy food gets with a fire

First up, I've been visiting this place for over 40yrs. In all that time it has always served up fantastic grub. I love and recommend the "Alfred's Special" and a friend (who is 6' plus) always gets the "Cram." The Pea and ham soup is made fresh everyday and tastes excellent every time. My view is biased by favourite memories and lots of nostalgia. Seriously though the food is quality and you won't be disappointed.

I think I just had the best hamburger in my life, sorry Mom 😉. Seriously if you haven’t been here, you should, the burgers are amazingly good.

Always good. Worth the wait, just sit by the fire and enjoy.
