The Three Gums Bistro is situated on top of the rise at the back of the Hahndorf Resort, Camping grounds. It is a new, modern designed spacious building. With huge windows over looking stunning Adelaide Hills vistas. The all white interior highlights the dark tones of the carpet, the bar and the fireplace hood. Table and chairs are also dark stained with stainless steel legs and behind the fire place is natural local quarried stone in variegated colours, all creating an elegant calming atmosphere. We enjoyed two very well made Mahalia's coffee's, while we sat next to the window enjoying the views. The breakfast menu gives you lots of choices, serving Saturday - Sunday 8-30am 10-30am. An excellent starters and Mains selection, weekly specials, all at very affordable prices. We received a warm welcome on our arrival, with good service. We shall return to the Bistro and enjoy a mains special. Have made a diary note to do this. Incidentally the three Guns, are Sharon, John (The Chef) & Megan.

If you have a spare hour in Hahndorf, you need to visit Somerled Wines and sample their Flight of Wines, for me personally the wines have a very smooth style and go very well with one of Heather's Spanish Platters. Rob's experience from working at Penfolds certainly shows through. This family run Cellar Door is a great way to finish off your trip to Historic Hahndorf. Be sure to ask about their Jockey Club, it is a great deal for you wine buffs. We will see you again soon for our Sunday afternoon treat, Di & Roger Amble at Hahndorf B&B

Myself and a friend had dinner there last night. It just opened recently. A nice friendly atmosphere and the service was friendly. They said they have outdoor eating but its still a bit cold for that. Looks like it will be nice i the warmer weather. There were only the two of us so didn't get to try that much. Had the curry puffs and they were excellent. You these can be a bit dodgy but these were full of flavour and nice and crispy. Served with some dipping sauce. There was some lettuce that I like to wrap my fried stuff in so that was good. Also had some chicken satay skewers(I know standard Thai fair) that were very nice. The chicken had obviously been cooked over a nice high heat so it had proper BBQ flavor. We also had the 'drunken noodles' (I think) and a red curry. Both were excellent. Was very pleased to see they had good local craft beers(Prancing Pony) at a reasonable price ($10). I dont come to this area much but would definitely eat here again. PS I think mains were in the $18 range. So good cafe prices. Didn't have desert.

Very friendly staff. The German Beer glasses are always at the front window. They look so stunning! I would love to know where they get these glassses from. I'm great fan of German Beer of all kinds. I own 2 Mini Schnauzers & they always pull me there to get a smell of dried meats. They a have a good nose! Being of German descent, they both love the smell of German Salami & smoked sausages.
Had a lovely experience, a little rushed but the wine was excellent
