The German Pantry

I've been trying to call them for 4 weeks and the phone is never answered. I ordered items 3 yrs ago and still waiting for them to call me back regarding availability. Would be nice if they answered the phone.

A lots of German imports. Friendly staff also. I don't understand why other people made such bad experience. The prices are a little high but it's normal for imported things. Found some Maltbeer which reminds me of my childhood (karamalz). Nice place.

Obviously the owner of the shop(the lady) needs to be re-educated. How pity that a beautiful Hahndorf have this kind of person.

Visited today at 10.25 (noone was there at 10am opening.) I can see why people have left poor reviews. The store owner is fairy unsubtle and can come across as confronting. Im ok with this, it's her store and she can do as she pleases. Would be nice to have real store hours displayed on the store front. Other store owners nearby mentioned they open the store whenever they wished( which is fine but shoukd habe this displayed)Otherwise a decent selection of imported goods and reasonable prices. Id still return again.

Perfectly happy with my visit, service was friendly and helpful, store has signs on the door for not photos (it's a private business and they can regulate photo taking) and has door locked for strict covid guidelines as it's only a small shop in a busy tourist town. Most other reviews seem to be upset that they can't do what ever they want in a shop with clear signs.

Best beef jerky in Australia. A must stop whenever we are in Adelaide. Great to know we can now order to be delivered to Melbourne!

Zero stars would be more appropriate! Walking into the shop we were not greeted whatsoever but instead the lady behind the counter was having a clearly personal chat on the phone. We were really keen buying something but instead of paying us attention the lady stayed on the phone and all we were giving was a glare. Absolutely rude and unprofessional! We left.

Had a great experience here last week. The person behind the counter was very knowledgeable and shared some great product recommendations. I felt very welcome and their selection of biltong and droëwors was one of the best I’ve seen in Australia.

Like the others who posted! A lady came yelling at us “NO NO” very RUDELY! (I took own a cafe and while I understand restrictions - but to me this is VERY POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE! If you can’t give any good customer service then don’t open a store!) I will not be going into this place EVER AGAIN! SHOCKINGLY RUDE!
