214 Katoomba St 2780, Katoomba
Delicious, well priced, super cosy. Everyone who I’ve taken there has always loved it
Staffed, run & food-sourced by a Christian commune, this place is delightful, both for its ambiance & its fresh, healthful menu. To look at its interior, with its curvy beams, homemade wooden seats & shady nooks, is to imagine yourself in the tavern of Hobbiton (Lord of the Rings), where Sam Gangee's girlfriend was the barmaid. The woodwork is created from demolished barns. The food is simple but satisfying; fresh & beautifully presented. Service comes with a smile that is genuine: none of the saccharine, "Have a nice day," here. We would unquestionably go again.
Get a Ruben and some of the soup of the day. I promise that you won't regret it. Great food and atmosphere, love this place!
Absolutely amazing. It's like being in a set of a fantasy film. Beautiful and cozy place to be, great music! The food is fine, but just being in there worth the price of admission alone.
Came here during the Winter Magic Festival. Food was free and absolutely delicious. Must visit.
Quick stop for a late coffee
Food was lovely - home made and fresh. Atmosphere was tops with quaint woodsy tavern vibes right out of the Lord of the Rings. Drinks - mango mate and smoothies were both excellent! A tad busy when we went in though, had to wait about 15 minutes to get a table.
There are so many things about this place that are beautiful, starting from the interiors, the decor, the friendly staff and of course, the food. In our short stay at Katoomba, we visited this cafe twice for lunch. The soup of the day was heartwarming, and the sandwiches were so filling. Def try the mango smoothie, it’s soooo delish!
Great food. Unique & comfortable decor.
Good solid food, delicious desserts and friendly staff
