Vans is a great local restaurant with a chilled vibe, friendly staff and outstanding food. Really interest cross section of Asian and European cuisine! The dumplings were amazing: could just eat those! The steamed fish was perfect and side greens perfectly cooked! The wine list is special and the owner passionate about the selection! Great night! One of the best hidden local gems in the eastern suburbs. A wine list that will cater to any taste and budget and Vlad is a wealth of knowledge on every wine he stocks. The food is just simply amazing in its taste and authenticity. Again there is something for everyone here no matter if you are 9 years old or a vegetarian. Service is attentive and has that local ‘we know you and care for you during your time here’ feel. All in all a rare gem of a local restaurant that punches way above its weight.

Definitely overpriced! I ordered a dish and asked if it made sense I ordered it as a main, as I was by myself. To my bewilderment, I got a single slice of meatloaf and some crisps! Added a glass of wine and ended up paying 40 dollars leaving as hungry as I got in.

Undiscovered gem! So nice to find a neighbourhood spot with amazing staff, service, owners and food. We went with some friends and on a Saturday night, got a last minute booking. We were made to feel special from start to finish. The food is excellent with options for all diets, beautiful Pan-Asian flavours, compliment an extensive drinks menu. The owners know their stuff, and we can’t wait for our next night out!

This is the best kept secret in Sydney - fresh and delicious food! Every time, they are consistent with the high quality and the wine is always on point. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

We just had a lovely dinner at Van, our second time this week. The food is fresh, tasty, interesting and delicious, and the evening made even more enjoyable by the enthusiasm of the chef, Anna who regularly checked on us, sharing her passion for the food she created. A little local gem, worth visiting even if you live outside the area .

Service was great and the food was good but I've been to dozens of other local restaurants that served equally as good food and paid half the price. $24 for 4 miniature spring rolls just doesn't cut it.
