Couldn’t fault their massive, hearty, juicy schnitzels. The place to be if you really just want to eat your heart out and share a meaty meal. Now if only there’s any room left for dessert..
Lovely schnitzels, good serves and also they have a recipe that rarely makes it beyond Central Europe, the infamous and artery-clogging fried Camembert cheese (rantott sajt).
Quality and service unchanged since last visit. Serving sizes still very generous.
Had an amazing lunch here ,friendly staff and very welcoming
Today was my husbands birthday and he was craving German cuisine! (He is half German) And let me tell you, this place did not disappoint. Very friendly customer service, quick table service and the food was amazing! The schnitzel was so tender, the goulash was so very flavourful and the sides of spaetzle and potato Roti were phenomenal. My husband and I left the restaurant feeling very content and full! Definitely will come back! And I highly recommend this place to anyone it won’t disappoint. Thank you Una’s restaurant for a lovely meal, friendly customer service and for making my hubby’s birthday that much more special.
Large portions of schnitzels. Love the mushroom sauce on top. The pork schnitzel has slightly more taste than the chicken. The mushroom for starters were amazing too. A very popular restaurant in the neighborhood. Might need to queue up during busy hours.
Hands down the best schnitzel in Sydney. Meat is juicy, crumb is tasty and their potato rosti is to die for. Their portions are huge and I’d recommend ordering sauce.
Plain rude. I have been to Unas before and wanted to go there again and tried to make a booking online which did not work. This resulted in me phoning Unas directly. The person who answered was very short with me when I was asked for a table. He said they don’t take bookings and put the phone down on my ear. I’d rather go to Maggie’s or even Concordias for good German food if the service is this bad from the onset.
A mainstay of Darlinghurst. Always reliable good solid huge meals. Can't go past the Jaeger Schnitzel myself, washed down by a large beer.
A Sydney institution that produces consistently good schnitzels, year after year. No frills but you know that when you go there.
