Amazing food, great taste of Cantonese cuisine. The quality of the food is definitely up there for yum cha — it’s a different level for sure. Only downside I found was the service, but they’re always quick to help if you call a staff member over so just be proactive if you need anything. Absolutely lovely experience!
A Quick eat spot for Chinese dim sum. Most of the food are authentic taste. Their must try is the charcoal lava bun and Siu mai.
The food was tasty. Most of items are small, giving the chance of trying multiple things for one meal. Staffs can be a bit more friendly, I felt they are tired. Energetic and smiling staffs can add taste to foods 😊
The food was very nice, the bbq pork bun was the highlight. However half we through eating we discovered we were served chicken feet that appeared to have been partially eaten, and bones spat out on the plate which was buried underneath the chicken feet. Needless to say, we kind of lost our appetite...
The highlights of the day were the Chicken Feet’s and the Pineapple BBQ Pork buns. Will definitely just get the four signature dishes and nothing else. Stuffing glutinous rice in lotus leaf - the rice was too soft and lack of Al dente. Also saucing was too salty. Stemmed rice with chicken, sausage, and mushroom - again, the rice was too soggy and the Chinese sausages were thinly sliced. Pan fried turnip cake - couldn’t taste any Chinese sausage in the cake. It doesn’t have any turnip flavour in it too. The service on the day was average at best. Only the trainee waiter was paying attention to our requests and have good communication with the customers. Other wait staff had the poker face on all the time. They simply deliver and collect our dishes without saying a word. We even got the wrong order from the table behind us. The cashier at the counter also didn’t have any eye contact when people paying for their meals. All in all, I recommend order takeaway instead of dine-in and I will only come back because of their bbq pork bun and chicken feet.
Pork congee was good 🙂 It might have just me being a bit too impatient to not be late for somewhere that I burned my tongue, but I liked it 🙂 PS well done on getting a Michelin star for the past 10 years. 👏
Took the kids on a small trip to the city for dinner and was disappointed to find out that they now have a 10% surcharge on weekends. On weekends?! Great way to lose your customers.
Very good yum cha! Strictly speaking, not the traditional yum cha - you order from the menu instead of choosing from the trolleies. Also doesn't have the full range of yum cha dishes. But there are still very good selections, and the food is tasty, vegi is fresh. Service is friendly and quick. 10% surcharge for weekends.
Recommended by Broadsheet and the food certainly was of great quality and flavours. We needed to wait for 10-15 minutes to get in for lunch. The place is bright, clean and plenty of seats and they turnover the tables quickly. The service can certainly be improved - a simple smile is not hard.
Let's get this out of the way. Service is pretty terrible. No smiles and staff look ultra annoyed 90% of the time, as if you are bothering them. Now that we have got that out of the way, the food is great. The dumpling do range from sublime/superb to quite good. Prawn dumplings, Siu Mai, Bbq pork bun, Cheong Fun the best. There also were seasonal specials which were delicious. You fill out the dim sum form at the table and the order is computerised and crossed off as they arrive. Which minimises service interaction which is a good thing in this case. Shame about the service, but I will be back.
