The Strand Cafe Restaurant

Pleasant place to pop in for lunch, friendly service and attentive timing for meals and drinks. Enjoyed the plant based burger and oink, crispy pork and rice.

Used to come here 10 years ago but lost interest. Came back on Saturday night and serving staff Bridgette and Paul were amazing. Bridgette recommended the perfect wine with the Steak. Food came out pristine. Looks like a great team. Keep it up strand. Will visit more when I move back to Adelaide. 👍🏽

The food is absolutely delicious! I ate the steak and it was amazing! Staff are super friendly too. I will definitely come back.

We used to go to the Strand as a treat and returned there today. We ordered the kangaroo and pork ribs. The kangaroo was cooked well, but the sauce was very sweet with nothing to balance the flavour. The ribs were very disappointing, dry with little flavour and served with soggy wedges. We then order fries to counteract the sweet and they also had a sweet seasoning and were not cooked. Yep, soggy, sweet fries.. ww were so disappointed. We reluctantly told our lovely waitress as we would live this place to be like the old days, but no compensation other than sorry, we were busy. Not really good enough. Especially when you are paying $35 -$40 per meal.

Love the food! But the cashier was a bit strong in pointing out for a mistake in payment which she asked for it. Definitely, needs to improve on customer service.

Visited glenelg 28/5 and welcomed by waiter Paul who was friendly enthusiastic and professional. My friend had been before and suggested the venue. The food was great, service great will recommend to friends service was great will definately recommend

Service was ok... Seated near the front entrance, so patrons that walk in often leave the door open, cos they live in tents and don't care about closing the door... Calzone was entirely dough and not enough topping... Do not recommend... Octopus special was rubbery and bland... Do not recommend... Kids meals were OK... Nothing special about this place, should have gone to the Pizza Bar up the road...

Easy booking experience. Friendly staff and quick service. Plenty of tasty options for gf and vego. Generous sized meals. Very much enjoyed our evening here with friends. Ty

Mains were amazing, garlic bread was a little heavy for an entre, and the service was awesome.

I went there for breakfast a few months ago. They forgot my order and when I did get it after following up, it was rushed and missing ingredients. I gave them a second chance this month and ordered the advertised 'chefs special' breakfast. The order actually came this time. But it seemed the chef doesn't know what's in the special. Some of the ingredients were missing from the plate and had to ask for them. During this time what was served went cold. I did give them a second chance before writing this review. But sorry Strand. Big fail and no returning business from me.
