52 Mount Barker Rd 5152, Stirling
So disappointed. We were warned there was a 40 minute wait for food but the actual wait was almost 90 minutes. Unfortunately a live singer set up 2 metres from us with a loud amplifier so we couldn't spend the time chatting with our friends. It was incredibly boring and frustrating. The wait staff were too timid to ask the musician to turn the PA system down. It was a shambles.
Had lunch in the Bistro today out on the patio, very nice surroundings but sadly had to wait 3/4 hour for our meal while people around us, who had ordered after us, were served before us. I queried if our meal was coming soon as we had been waiting a long time, was informed our meals were being plated but still had to wait a further ten minutes. Our meals were quite nice but my potatoes were dehydrated and not worth eating, very disappointing.
Went in and saw a menu printed on a post-it note. This was the “Classic Monday Menu”. It seemed that the burgers were the best thing as that’s all we saw come out. Asked the bar staff about the reduced menu and was told it was small because it was “Prep day in the kitchen”. Fair call. Must remind myself not to go up on a Monday.
Nice setting, good food but very loud music. We could not hear friends sitting across the table. Waiter had to lean in to speak to us to take orders.
Great wood oven Pizza and excellent atmosphere. We sat outside enjoying everything. Wow. So relaxing and everyone was so friendly. Random people starting conversations jacking around have the best time. They have a table tennis table outside and kids were having the best time playing. Just a great vibe.
First class restaurant. Great food and wine. Good service and nice ambience.
Great meal, private room was fantastic. Very busy day so there was a bit of a wait but the staff were fantastic
Reasonable pizza! The outside tables were grubby... we asked for the table to be cleaned but it was only spot cleaned!
Today was our anniversary lunch. Firstly we sat on the deck with a glass of wine. The sun was shining and the ambience was bustling with families, couples and doggies in the aperol garden. We then proceeded to the dining room for our dining. We were seated at a quiet table for two and our waitress kindly introduced herself. The menu was fantastic!! We ordered dumplings, oysters kilpatrick and fritters for entrees. The dumplings were amazing!! Unfortunately our plates were not cleared when our main arrived which we shared the rib eye steak. Hats off to the chef who cooked it rare to perfection!! We paired this with the Chardonnay wine flight which were impeccable. Overall the food and wine were 5 star. However the only feedback I can give is more attention to service, clearing glasses and plates between meals. Thanks for the great afternoon team!!
This is a great spot to have lunch or tea they have a great selection of food and wines, beers and desserts. And in winter a lovely fire. The staff are lovely.
