The Roses Cafe

Absolutely lovely! Faultless customer service, quality and facilities. Fast service, large servings worth the fair prices. A very large selection of meals, desserts and drinks. A relaxing atmosphere for any time of the day. They even have a little table with jugs of water, glasses, sauces, magazines, newspapers and extra cutlery. I cannot fault, a well deserving 5 stars.

A cafe of this calibre is a rare find. The staff are lovely opening and closing the door for you as you arrive and leave. And then they are patient while you struggle to decide what on earth you are going to pick from the incredible array of delights. A delicious salad bar, monumental lasagnes and frittata plus an incredible selection of homemade pies and quiche, salmon mornay, ricotta and olive or beef burgundy to name a few. Then there is selection of muffins - I took home and apple and rhubarb crumble one - it's that big I split it in four. Caramel slice, cakes and other delights are tempting too. All set in a beautiful historical building. It's busy but if it were near where I live in Sydney there would be a queue round the block 24/7. Just go!

Had the morrocan lamb pie and banana thickshake, ... the pie was way too salty, but the banana thickshake (no smoothies available) was good. Mate had the Thai chicken curry pie and said it was good. Busy lunch spot, think I just chose the wrong pie ... next time? outside seating and easy parking are bonuses

Great cafe , on the day that we visited the cafe it was very busy but well managed, we were greated by a very pleasant young man that directed us to our table and let us know what was happening as per covid rules and when we could order .I ordered the beef burger which i thought was fantastic and my wife ordered the Turkey sandwich which she loved, the hot chips that came with my meal are delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful are very efficient and i would highly recommend this cafe when you visit Goulburn.

The carrot cake is just odd. The waiter apologised for its appearance when placing it on the table. As it had fallen apart and was being held together by thick icing. It was about 50% sultana, 50 % wet carrot mash. It may not have been cooked. It resembled a mince tart. Staff are lovely, and the food always looks great through the glass, but I haven't had much luck with my food so far. 🤣🤣

Beautiful salad bar. Prompt service. Prices on the high side but good for the occasional brunch.

Very friendly and competent staff. Delicious eggs Benedict and piccolo.

Such friendly staff. Do our best to stop in here every time on our way south to pick up a their baked goods to enjoy on the road.

I love the food here. It’s a shame I struggle to pick something from the menu as everything looks delicious

Only place in town with dcones for devonshire tea. Would have liked loose leaf tea but they at least had a few varieties
