Nice vibe and great cocktails!
Cute little hideaway in the city. Great Decor! Food was great as well :)
Absolutely amazing experience. I would definitely recommend The Rook to anyone looking for a lovely night out. Made for the perfect place to celebrate a friend’s birthday. Timmy and Josh were absolutely amazing behind the bar. I wanted something non-alcoholic and Timmy whipped me up the best mocktail! They even made a special cocktail for the birthday girl! They made the night super special and because of it I’ll definitely be back again. Great food too!! Just all round good vibes and a great time!!
Came on a Monday dinner. The bar is actually rather hard to find from the roadside until you notice the name on the internal building's floor directory board. Was looking forward to the Lobster roll but was sold out. Truffle fries is a must-try, battered in truffle oil for the taste, though not oily at all, and generous sprinkle of truffle flakes. Cocktail Lost In Paradise was a beauty too, a steal at it's promotional $11. Wagyu burger was average, decent meat thickness though cooked at Medium, and unfortunately with the truffle fries on the table, the regular fries was meh. Used my $25 Dine voucher and the rezzy gave me another $25 off. Best $3 spent for a good meal out.
A hidden gem in heart of Sydney CBD. They have a pretty cool roof-top dining environment. The employees were friendly. Service was quick for such a busy environment. Food was also very yummy. Just couple of things that didn't allow me to give a 5 star is the serving size - as I expected for the price I am paying the serving size would be more than what we got or we can also say cost is bit high for food and drinks both. Secondly, they don't have a lot of choices for food so you can check the menu before you go.
Good food and great vibes, though limited vegan options on the menu. May be better during non peak period or if able to ask for alterations.
For a delicious burger and drink in the city over lunch, we caught up at the Rook as a group of friends. Easy ordering system with QR code’s at the table for drinks and food. The burger was absolutely loaded with perfectly cooked patty
Only came here very briefly for an event, so I can’t comment much on food and drinks (the group left shortly after to go somewhere else). What I can say is that the service here was pretty good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The area itself was decently presented. There was the outdoorish (but under cover) area just adjacent to the indoor area with the bar. The place was pretty small and dark which wasn’t what I expected, but it had a nice atmosphere. One thing I’d say is that it was relatively hard to find the place. There is no real signage outside the building to indicate which one it is so you really need to read the address and find that specific building (which looks like an office building), then go in and take the lift up.
Chance to catch up with old friends for a drink and light meal. First time here. Street entrance bit deceptive as feels like just entering an office tower. Take the lift to level R and things change as it opens out into a nice bar and open area for dining. Good music in background attentive staff and nice food and beverages.
Love this place! Been here many times over the years. Such friendly helpful staff and love the food (esc. the Scallops!!!). Great drinks, beautifully presented. Friendly crowd too which is always nice. Highly recommend
