The best ribs in town!!!!

What an experience! We loved everything about the place, the service was exceptional, and the venue is great, but the food is some of the best we've had. The steak was to die for, and the dessert was next level. We still talk about the flavours we tasted to this day haha can't recommend it enough, we will definitely be coming back soon.

One of the best Steak Houses in Melbourne. If you're a steak connoisseur you won't be disappointed. Their range of meat is broad and includes a fantastic selection of aged cuts. Every steak is seasoned and cooked to your liking and arrives at your table giving off delicious, nutty aromatic flavours to start you drooling. I've had both a T-Bone and Porterhouse since visiting and both were excellent with one of restaurants house reds.

Unbelievable. Winnie our waitress was beyond fantastic. She wasn't too pushy, but she told us all we wanted to know about the steaks and highly recommended the aged beef. She was so sweet and had just the right amount of salesmanship that it didn't annoy me, but most of all she was absolutely SPOT ON! Our starter (the share plate and Portuguese prawns) blew our minds. We barely spoke but just exchanged eye contact that said "omgggg"! Then the 550gm aged steak came out, and again, there were no words. Delicious tender meat, with additional salt on the table, this meat was superb. AND GET THE MUSHROOM SAUCE!! I am coming back without a shadow of a doubt. Thank you Winnie, and the Meat Wine & Co!

We went here to celebrate a 21st, not knowing what to expect, but it turned out a fantastic experience. The food, drinks, and staff are magnificent. Our chosen entree was calamari, a perfect size dish and beautifully prepared. For mains, I had the beef fillet and my wife had the salmon skewer. The portions are huge and absolutely delicious. The menu is varied to suit all tastes, and the atmosphere is mighty good at this restaurant. It was overall a most pleasant dinner shared with great company (including the friendly staff). Give this restaurant a try at least once - it's worth it!

A good restaurant. Nice ambience, fantastic service (shout out to Hardial, our waiter, who was incredibly attentive and friendly), extensive menu with a variety of dishes. It actually would've been 5 stars but for a couple of things: it's a steakhouse, but honestly the steak wasn't great, in the sense that there were just chunks of fat I couldn't chew through and it just wasn't very appetising after that. Also, they charged $13 for a single baked potato which I found ridiculously overpriced - on the menu it says "baked potatoes" in the plural but it was literally a single baked potato that wasn't large so that was weird. But apart from those things, we actually had a really nice night out. Overall, I would come back but I don't think I'd have the Monte rib-eye which was a disappointment. The ribs looked good on the other table so I think I'd try that next time.

Thank you to Joy and our waitress Christine for a lovely evening. It was my friends birthday and from the start of the evening everything was really great, nice ambience, friendly staff, good wine and the food was mostly delicious. I had a problem with my steak and Joy (manager) promptly attended and offered to replace it with something else. When I mentioned it was my friends birthday she returned with a sweet little desert and candle. It's the little service recovery techniques that really show the difference between average restaurants and professional establishments like this. Thanks again Joy and everyone for a lovely experience.

Came here with a group of 9 for a birthday and thought that it was very well reasonably priced. The rib eye steak with chips was roughly $42. However, the group had two glasses of wine with their meal and came to a total of $680. I thought the food tasted quite well. Nothing spectacular, but the price and quality was definitely justifiable. Service was extremely pleasant. I would come here for a regular catch up or just to relax on a Friday night. Quality is on. Taste is on. Price is on. Atmosphere is on. Would recommend and come again!!

With the price, it's really not worth it. The food was okay at best. The only thing worth it was the Mac and cheese. The service was great though. If you think the meat at this place is good, I highly recommend Texaco.

Had dinner on Thursday evening to celebrate my partners birthday. We were seated by the window and the lighting complimented the experience. The steak was exquisite and the wine list very well rounded. We had the scallops as an entree and it was the perfect size to share without spoiling our 300g rib eyes. Dessert was perfectly proportioned so we weren’t stuffed and the chef wrote happy birthday on my partners plate. Which although often done, felt very special. Mary looked after us upstairs and was an absolute delight with an apt knowledge of all the products on both the wine list and the food menu. Will definitely be back in the near future!
