My wife and I really loved the newly restored Guildford Hotel. The inside looks fantastic but the IKEA type furniture does not suit the rustic style of this historic hotel. Our meals were great and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. My wife likes to drink cocktails but at $17 each they were far to expensive. A wider variety of less expensive drinks would be great.
Always great service, delicious french fries, beautiful building. Thumbs up! Update following TGH's response: see you tomorrow then!
I've been 4 times since it's reopened and it's been absolutely awesome every time. Gets very busy but that's to be expected. Glad the old beauty has come back to life.
Pie was great even if with only a top crust. Needed a different side dish though. The sticky pork sauce needed to be properly caramelised. The high tables not so comfortable. The cider menu needs to be chosen by someone over 20.
Awesome brisket and other slow cooked treats on offer
Great food good service
Walked in sat down walked out very very noisy cant hear what your saying over loud music and patrons.Told was child friendly do they even know what that means its not.Menu not appealing at all.Very dark couldn't even read the menus. Walked out in disgust wont return went to sizzler in stead
