The Eatery was the best dining experience we’ve had in over a week here in the Barossa. The wait staff were lovely and attentive, the food is generous and simply delicious, every plate we ordered was picked clean. You can easily spend hours here and not feel the urge to leave.

Beautiful exquisite food. Fresh ingredients, simple menu and wonderful combinations. Love the Straciatella and Lamb Neck (with celeriac puree) dishes. I could eat those two everyday. Service is attentive and friendly; you wouldn't mind anything less from Maggie's family run business. Limited seating so reservations needed.

Wonderful pit stop in Barossa! Nice restaurant with amazing food. The slow cooked lamb neck was extremely tender and flavourful. 👌🏻 Take a stroll around the photogenic lake and olive farm after an indulgent meal. Round up the trip with a stop at the farm shop.

The food was good and the experience overall wasn’t too bad. However, there was nothing memorable about the food that left us wanting to eat any of it again. The food was also way too overpriced and the portions too small. Most disappointing was The Eatery itself. We love the rustic aesthetic of Maggie Beer’s Farmshop and we’re expecting the same in The Eatery, but found it was rather “cheap modern” in comparison. This rather dampened the experience. Would recommend sampling a cheese platter with Maggie Beer’s products in The Farmshop instead.

One cannot recount when a more perfect lunch time outing was achieved, not for a long time at least. An equally great ambience was met with great food, a clear winner.

Squeezed us (four adults and two babies) in at the last minute without a booking. Service was quick, suggestion to share was spot on. Definitely looking forward to coming back.
