The Great British Chippy

It is the chippy I have ever been to and has the best quality food I have tasted yet.

I supported these guys since they opened and have been delighted with the portion size and quality for years. However, the last 2 trips have resulted in a piece of Cod about 50% normal size, chips that were not freshly cooked and last night had had vinegar applied before being taken from the storage area of the fryer. I know as I specified no vinegar and watched it being served. I can only assume that as the owner was not there and they were not busy (7:15pm and 6:15pm) on a weekday night the young supervisor(s) and alternate fryer do not have the same quality focus to the normal Friday night busy period. I will try them one more time and if it is a repeat performance for $17.50 I shall be popping over the Beaumaris (who now do Cod) even though the chips are nowhere near as good. I will be sorry to see this chippy fall into the trap of smaller portions, stale chips and high prices

THE BEST FISH AND CHIPS STORE IN PERTH. Absolutely outstanding, i visited this place a few days back and the quality of the chips is unmatched. The fish is very well cooked. The staff are very kind and the communication skills they have adopted are very good, huge portions enough for a small family. Would definetely recommend.

Ordered 2 cod and chips as I wanted a taste of home after two years and I'm sad to say I was deeply disappointed. The batter on the cod wasn't crispy at all, didn't taste nice at all. The chips were bad, the fish itself didn't look or even taste like cod. Pretty sure the oil in the fryers needed changing. The only nice thing we had for our meals was the curry sauce. Big prices for such a disappointment!

What a huge disappointment, we went in and all the staff were just standing around, including the owner, ignoring customers. So we just walked out after waiting for some time. The owner didn't even notice - nor care. We will never go back here again. Went to a different chippy up the road, with far better service. Service is everything...

Friendly, polite, and prompt service! Freshly cut thick chippies. Delicious battered fish! Love the pineapple fritters with a hint of cinnamon! Thank you The British Chippy!

Fantastic "UK style" fish and chips. Deep fried pizza, mars bar, etc. all on the menu. But the best thing they do are the hand cut chips, you can't beat them

Haggis and black pudding were deep fried in an almost donut tasting batter. Couldn't recommend them, a little too sweet and flavour wasn't great
