Love the place

It used to be great! But now ... [May 2023] fish served in a stupid basket, not a plate - this allows them to serve a smaller portion. Haggis used to be 2 pieces, now it's 1 piece for the same price. The owner used to come around offering free tea - not anymore. They made us wait 30-40 min before informing us that out sit-down order had been logged as takeaway. Never going back

Fish overcooked, chips undercooked. Batter poor, chips very poor.

Yeah, the place has gone downhill big time. It's very expensive too. We decided to eat in as we came from Fremantle, instead of our food being served on actual plates, they now serve food on flimsy red plastic baskets with a layer of baking paper (which just dissolved in the tommy K). The first disappointment with the red baskets is it reduces your portion size, which is annoying as you're there as a treat and, as per British tradition, I expected a good portion.
