Tandoori Nights

We have had couple of meals and the food was absolutely awesome so do the hospitality. Highly recommend specially for traveller’s craving for some Indian food in Cairns. Cheers to the team 👍

SO glad we chose to eat at Tandoori Nights for our one night stay in Cairns. Love Indian food and this was fabulous. Most tender beef dish ever! Won't hesitate to go back on next stay.

It's really good to see Indian restaurant in cairns. Once we found this restaurant we constantly had food here and all the foods are freshly made. We really liked it

We came to this restaurant on 8/4/23 at 245 pm and we were the only ones in the restaurant as customers. Food was good but staff were showing they were very low in morale and uninviting, gentle man in the counter who was repairing some plumbing work was seen to be not interested, even did not answer when we initially went in to ask if they are still open, a middle aged man later came in was the same with no smile and he even gave us the paper for us to write the order, a middle aged lady came around who didn’t even gave us a look busy talking on her phone when we actually wanted to ask about the menu. And they both started their lunch in a corner while we were waiting. We felt we were human beings only when we saw the girl arrived with food who had a beautiful smile, appreciating her for being like that and we said that to her. You need an inviting host when we are in food industry. Your taste of food will be overlooked when you have staff who put your business down. Food for thought.

We had high expectations from this place, but in vain. The Chicken Tikka wmwe ordered came with two slices if carrot and 8 spinach leaves, the plate had 3 reasonable sized portion and 3 very small, not tasty and no value for money. The Malai Kofta again another disaster, only 3 pieces in a plate, they didn't even serve a spoon until we asked. Should have ordered Pizza instead.

The general atmosphere of the place was friendly, the staff was accommodating, and the food was catered perfectly to the spice level requested by us. Great place to satiate any craving you might have for Indian food.

Takeaway ordered. Went to pick it up and they young fella serving, honestly couldn’t be stuffed. I was the only person in the restaurant and it took minutes to be served. I was early so waited 10mins to receive the order - no probs there, but the young fella just dumped the plastic bag with a can of coke on the counter with no interaction as he was talking on the phone. I ordered a can of soft drink and was even asked what I wanted. He just assumed this. As he was on the phone, I just couldn’t be bothered waiting another 5 minutes to discuss this. Rogan Josh was tasty but the naan bread was not oily and ‘doughy’. Won’t be going back to this place.

Food is good but service is on the slower side. Server gave us water but with no glasses, and then same server took a while to get back to us to take down our order, and from there the food took much longer to come out than what I am used to. Nonetheless food was good!

Wonderful food and service, well priced. Would definitely eat here again. I do recommend
