Sweet Sassafras is a cosy little cafe with a big heart. We are all about eating simple, fresh food using the best locally grown produce we can get our hands on. We work with a handful of local small producers and change our menu with the season and availability. By working closely with local farmers and small producers we’ve cut down on packaging and food miles. We also try to reduce waste in other ways; we provide linen napkins, stainless steel straws and we offer a 10% discount to customers who bring their own coffee cup for takeaway coffees. We source local and/or organic ingredients wherever possible and we consider the ethics and source of each ingredient we use. Our coffee, teas and hot chocolate are all organic and fairly traded. We've created a friendly, laid back space so our customers can pause for a moment to enjoy a treat and some time out in their busy day. We also offer free wifi, board games and a super comfy couch to help you slow down.
