Kensington St, Chippendale
Its a Must Visit place for East Asian food lovers. Delicious food and reasonable prices. The stalls in the back alley are specially worth a mention with good Tom Yum fried rice and pineapple fried rice from Bangkok street food stall and if you continue towards the dead end there are good Mayasian and Singapore food stalls. This place is a hidden jewel in Chippendale so close to the Centeal station. Good for students and people on a budget. Landmark: Spice Alley is a lane opposite the Tall building with green plants near Central Station.
Lots of stalls to choose from, spoilt for choice. Lots of seatings too. But the Warong Bali is not authentic Indonesian. The sambal Balado for the fried fish is not Balado style, just some red chilli paste.
Spice Alley was everything and more what I expected. I loved and enjoyed my time in the precinct! Whoever thought of creating this exciting little project needs to be congratulated! An ingenious way to preserve some of Sydney's old semi-detached terrace houses. They blend in so harmoniously with the surrounding new builds. The food is heaven on a plate! Thoroughly enjoyed my Luncheon there. For the photographers there a many photo opportunities. I shall return as soon as I am able. Thank you Spice Alley for the experience!
Always love going to Spice Alley. Itβs great with kids because there is so much to choose from!
Had an amazing time trundling through. The sites and sounds, smells and atmosphere are an experience unto their own without consuming food. But of course, one must eat in Spice Alley.
Really fast and cheap food... if you are in Sydney definitely check out Spice Alley there is something for everyone!!!
I would order the rice instead of the noodles . My friends said it taste nice
Wonderful place, so many different foods to try, byo drinks Cheap and fun
Clean, good variety of food. Credit cards are used, but surcharge are too high. Only disappointment.
One of my favourite places in the city. Atmosphere and food are awesome and byo drinks is the cherry on top of an already delicious dumpling!
