Much better than other markets. Great quality and prices. Market atmosphere.

Cool market that has different type of shops than you'd normally see at other markets. Lots of people in the afternoon which makes it quite crowded at times. If you drive around a bit, you can find 2 hour and even 4 hour parking spots! The food places I will say are overpriced and average in taste. An easy fix to that is to go to the myriad of pubs around after you've done your shopping!

So cuuuute market. I like the different kinds of vendors.

Amazing market to visit although parking can be quite difficult on peak days. Would recommend coming early to ensure you find some parking and can snatch up the freshest fish, meats (if that's what you're going for) and pastries.

Mussel festival at Sth Melb Market Lots of food, entertainment and of course ! French patisserie made a big dent in my pocket Great rock band at 2pm. The lil ones were rocking it. (The big ones were not bad at it also) Atmosphere was infectious, everyone was having fun.

One of the greatest markets I've ever visited so far! Had an absolute blast every time I came here. The croissant, dim sim, coffee, oysters, orange juice, groceries and flowers are a part of my routine and highly recommended!

My favourite market so far in Melbourne! Has everything I needed and yummy food to bring back to the family!

A simple wk through and you find the BEST gozleme and to die for lemon tea cakes. And everything non edible in between. Great place: vibrant, colourful and warm people.

Always a refreshing experience. Plenty of artisan and gourmet options. A must for anyone who likes to try different foods

Tricky to find a park in the area sometimes, but there's all you could need at the South Melbourne Market. I go back again and again for food, spices, cooking utensils, gifts, piñatas, shoes... anything. Be sure to try out the South Melbourne Market Dim Sims, and also pick up some of the freshest fruit and veg in the city.
