322-326 Coventry St, South Melbourne
Great variety. Had not been there for years. What a change but still familiar shops. Dim Sims were magnificent as remembered. Good parking arrangements above
So many wonderful stalls. Such a great atmosphere and a delicious variety of foods! Perfect place to shop and eat! Love it!
Great food, fresh produce and awesome atmosphere. Itβs one of the best markets in Australia
A must to visit this market with many nice coffee shops on the street. Inside is very neat, well decorated and friendly sellers with variety from seafood, meat to bakery with wake pie and even antique and souvenirs shop. Nice lolly and cake shops there too. 2 hour Metered parking on the street.
Great market with lots of variety and choice. Prices are generally reasonable with the odd bargain. Lots of places to eat with all sorts of food and great tastes. I go here when I get the chance
Was visiting Melbourne last week and decided to visit the markets that we had heard about. What a fantastic day we had the stalls/shops have so much to choose from then there is the food area WOW. Everything you could ask for Fresh meat , groceries, seafood , bakery and of course coffee. Cant wait to visit again. Well Done South Melbourne.
A great market. Loads to choose from amazing food options inside the market. Went at 3.00 pm on a Saturday and was super busy with lots of queues at the French patisserie's. Would definitely go again but choose a quieter time. I did feel that the food prices were a little expensive but the quality and taste was amazing. Shop around there are lots of options to choose from.
I love visiting the South Melbourne Market. Market stall holders are friendly and remember you. Produce is fresh and I love having a coffee and massage whilst I am there. It is like visiting with family every week.
Even before I came to Melbourne, I'd asked around on which market to visit... Queen Victoria is definitely larger in size, vibrant and more varieties, but South Melbourne has its own charms and not as packed. That was why I decided for the latter - and we had a good time exploring part of the market after the breakfast in Dead Man Espresso.
Smaller market than many but the selection is varied and great quality. On site parking gives you the opertunity to take your time, enjoy the shopping district around the marker and visit one of the many great eateries in the area.
