Great cultural experience with good range of stalls and cafes

South Melbourne market has a great atmosphere and such a variety of foods on offer. The storeholders were all helpful and friendly.

My favorite place for fresh fruit, veges and meat in Melbourne. The quality is fantastic. Be prepared for lots of people on weekend mornings. Stay well clear when they do special events however, as the space management is horrible. They need to block off minimum double the space and provide far far more seating to hold any 'festivals' in the future.

A great market, have lived in Melbourne for 15 years and have only just been to South Melbourne market. Will definitely be going more regularly!

Very nice upmarket market with great shops and good food. I woud defnetly recoment it for a morning out even if it is just to get the weeks fresh fruits and vegetables.

One of Melbourne's best markets, amazing food options inside and out, as well as quality fruit/veg shops and craft stores. Atmosphere is awesome, easy to lose time poking around the different stalls. Rooftop parking is bonus, gets busy though.

I just love this market! You can find everything you want there, starting with fresh fish, vegetables, fruits and ending with clothes, paintings, souvenirs and all kind of other stuff you don't even think about.

My favorite place for weekly shopping. There you can find fresh local produce, gourmet food and design goods. Heads up for great coffee. I also recommend for travelers as they can experience a little bit of Melbourne local life style.

Nice and not very big. It has so many restaurants, shops and food stalls for you to spend a weekend afternoon there.

Great market to gather fresh produce. Nice, small. Some boutiques, a bunch of butchers, some great coffee liquor and bakeries. Not a farmers market like Queen Vic.
