Great food! Cumin lamb and fragrant eggplant 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
Best sichuan food
Unbelievably good food! Best place to go if you are looking for a chilli fix!
Sichuan House - The absolute BEST Sichuan cuisine in Melbourne HANDS DOWN! If you haven’t been here, do yourself a favor. The prices are right, the food is super flavorful and you’re guaranteed to be rolling out of there full and frugal at the same damn time! Get the fish in spicy soup, their signature dish. Don’t let the abundance of chili put you off. Just use the ladle net to make sure you’re just scooping the fish and not the chili. Top 3: Fish in spicy soup Eggplant 🍆 Cumin pork ribs Get yourself some longnecks of TsingTao to wash it down and split the bill at the end. You’ll be in for next to nothing at all and have a smile on your face. Sichuan House never disappoints.
Went here after hearing they did a good dan dan mien. Place is pretty dingy and the lane it's located in had the funkiest smell Ive come across in a long while. Having said that the dish itself was good without being exceptional. Good spice, noodles were just ok. Was hoping for a bit more so came away a touch disappointed.
Great food and awesome staff!!!
Hot hot hot...yummo
When I visited Melbourne, I wanted to go to a Sichuan place so I’ve begin my searched and this place turned up. I then came here to have a quick lunch, their shichuan style noodle was ok but the service was a let down. It was only me and 1 other customer in the restaurant, I came earlier try to beat the rush. They welcomed you to come in and sit you down but after that they were just left me behind with menu and no one came to take my order. They were all just talking behind the till and didn’t acknowledge you at all. I had to wait for so long just for 1 bowl of noodle soup while it was only the 2 of us in the restaurant.
Real good, but maybe losing its edge a little? Update - May 2021 - yes, it's definitely lost it. No longer has authentic levels of spiciness. Unintentional comedy though as various staff tried to persuade us that a dish they brought was better than the one we ordered :)
Legit Sichuan food. The cumin ribs are great, it's just great food overall. Good prices in an of the beaten path place.
