Great food, friendly staff, although you might wait a little for a spot depending on the time of day

20 minute wait for a table at 7pm on a Thursday night which is not that bad for popular places in the CBD. My expectations were fulfilled as I went in for a bowl of good ramen and straight forward service from the staff. Order your food, comes out very promptly and they constantly clear everything possible on your table (understandable as there are people waiting). I had the Karakuchi Ramen (how can I not when it said "best") and my friend had the Miso ramen. Personally not a fan of overly thick and heavy broths so it was just the way i like it. Good flavours and not overly salty. The bowl of ramen is deceptive as it doesn't look like much but I was very satisfied portion wise by the end of the meal. The noodles are a bit firmer than other places and I also liked that. The Karakuchi has 2 chillis for its spice level and it was just nice (again for me). If it was any spicier I would be struggling. The pork belly was a highlight for me. Numerous times I've had grilled pork in ramen and it's too dry or too firm. This pork belly was cooked perfectly, melted in my mouth and very tasty. Overall, I personally am there for the bowl of ramen more so than the decor and atmosphere. Judging more from a tastiness standpoint, was a very delicious bowl of ramen and would come again to try the signature dish.

Bestttt ramen ever! You do have to wait a while to get a table, but that just shows how good the food is. Once you have ordered, the food comes out within minutes. Seriously the best and always worth the wait.

LOVE LOVE LOVE IT! The interior of the place to the authentic ramen is what keeps the queues going. This place never disappoints every time I'm craving for ramen. Lovely staff as well.

Delicious food, fast service. If you arrive after 2pm on a weekday you’re at the tail end of the lunch service and won’t need to queue much.

Shujinko is my favourite ramen in Melbourne. Always my first choice when my friends want me to recommend a ramen place. I love their tsuke men and black sesame ramen. The soup and noodles are authentic Japanese flavour. Also, ebi karaage is a must-eat choice for prawns lovers like me!

Really really busy ramen place at Russel st Melbourne, waiting time it's about 30-40mins. Tried tsukemen and shujinko ramen. Great broth, packed of flavor. For my tsukemen , it's bit too much of greens topping on top.

Good and consistent quality. Fast. Good atmosphere. Efficient service. Good value. Pre covid it was 24 hours. -Takoyaki 6/10 loads of bonito but could be fluffier -Karaage 7/10 5 pieces are never enough! -Tsukemen 9/10 this is the only style of Ramen I get here. You get a decent amount of diced pork in the thick and slightly spicy stock. The noodles are chewy!! -Kirin on tap in pints

They serve the best ramen ever in Melbourne. The soup is very unique, loaded with meat, an egg, noodles and the end product is a well-balanced ramen noodles. Their broth is the ultimate star of this dish. The atmosphere may not be comfortable due to heaps of patrons coming in and out especially during dinner time. You have to fall in line several minutes without proper chair when waiting for the greatest ramen. But the staffs are very polite, cheerful and welcoming despite the buzz going on inside the restaurant. They also serves different kinds of rice bowls, tasty chicken dishes and other delicious Japanese foods. I will definitely go back again for another foodluster session with friends. πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ‘πŸ»
