Traditional handmade Shanghai xiaolongbao and dumplings. Top 50 cheap eats in Melbourne from Goodfood Guide 2016.

Today I tried Chinese food in this restaurant. Since I was walking inside, the staff did NOT pay attention to us. When I asked about food, they were NOT professional and lack good service. Also, the food I ordered didn't have a good test like other restaurants I've been to. So, I think I will never come back. I don't recommend this restaurant.
One of the best places to eat shanghaainiz food in Melbourne ā¤ļø Iād recommend hot and sour soup š Kung pao dumplings š„ And vermicelli soup š² You guys deserve this review šÆ
Got the pork xiao long baos and the fried dumplings. Ended up with food poisoning š
Superb dumplings!! They are very nice with affordable price.
I am a vegetarian. So can't comment on the other dishes but the veggies dumplings are one of the best.
Cheap and cheerful. Classic dumplings, fantastic street food.
Cosy little restaurant with cheap food. The fried rice and Shanghai fried noodles were both tasty. The dumplings were thick-skinned and rough, but their size and prices make up for the slightly disappointing quality. The beef and cheese dumplings (special menu) were interesting, but blander than expected. The service was very quick. Overall a good experience.
They say cheap, good and fast, you can only get two. This place is both cheap and very good. The queue to get seated can be long but the service once you're inside is fast. And friendly. Had the pan fried buns, xiaolongbao, pancakes, beef noodles, chicken noodles, fried and boiled dumplings. The noodles are a bit dry but the toppings are yummy. A small bowl of soup could solve that problem. The xiaolongbao might not look as refined compared the famous Taiwanese chain's a few blocks away but taste wise, it's head and shoulder above. At least the pork and crab ones we ordered. Bacon pancake is crispy outside and perfect inside. The boiled and fried dumplings are not outstanding after all the other yummy items we had but I'm sure if they are eaten on their own, it'd be amazing as well. It's BYO as well but it will be very inconsiderate with the queue outside. Will be back to try the rest of the menu.
The most awesome xiao long bao right here! Great for a quick lunchtime break. Bring mates to share a few plates!
Unsure what the hype is about. Enjoyed Yang's dumpling's pan-fried dumpling bao more than ones here. The doughs are quite chewy, but the pork inside was a bit tasteless. The noodles were soggy. Overall I didn't enjoy my meal here.
