If I go there on weekdays, do I need to book a table or just walk-in?

For the dinner service, Do they serve the yum cha by walking around with trolleys full of different dishes, where you just pick out what you want? Or do you have to order your dishes from the menu?

do they have yum cha in the evening?

Looking at all the reviews I was a bit concerned when my friends invited me for new years eve. Ended up having a great night! We didn't have to wait at all for our table, the staff was friendly, the food was good. Will definitely go back and recommend

Went for Yum Cha today, and must say that we were very disappointed. The service of food trolleys were very few and far between. Had a total of 5 trolleys come near us in just over an hour, with 3 of the 5 trolleys having exactly the same stuff on it. Three other trolleys didn't even bother to come and ask if we wanted anything from those ones (must have been the same as the previous 3). When we did manage to get some food off a trolley, the food was just warm, with nothing hot at all unless you ordered directly, which we ended up doing in the end to actually get some service. Defeats the purpose of the Yum Cha experience really. When leaving and had to pay, the manager lady in the jacket on the front desk was very rude and bad attitude. We spoke to her saying they need to let the staff know that the tables in the corners need service too, she said very abruptly that all staff do that anyway. So obviously did not listen to our complaint at all. Anyway, overpriced, service not good, food not hot. Will not be returning. The 2 stars are purely for the Lady who was refilling the Tea, she was lovely, and for the whitebait, that was actually delicious.

Best chicken feet dish I've ever had. Highly recommend. But, make sure you make a booking in advance. Walk-in is almost impossible.

Dinner for two first time at this restaurant. Very stylish and classic dark wood interior ; good ambience Alarmed by the seafood prices -tried the abalone and some scallops. Abalone perfectly cooked and prepared, scallops with snow peas just standard , a mixed roast meat platter also standard- a bit fatty. Attentive service not much conversation and was very quiet when we were there Reasonable wine and very fair price Overall very nice but can get this food half the price elsewhere. Would be great for a large party but expect $200 per person! Also they have a surcharge for EFTPOS savings payments which is not standard business practice.

U dont get it. 214 bucks to leave hungry. Overpriced for average food with small dishes. Chinatown has soooo many better places for prolly 2/3 of price. Seriously.

Went there on a Saturday night. A little bit pricy but the food is good. Customer service needs to be improved. I and my friend sat at the table for few mins. Had to ask them for the menu!

Wow, unbelievable. Two of us had lunch today, and we order foods which cost us $40 in total. We cannot finish these dishes because we are full. They ask us to order at least $60 foods because that’s their rules! How can we order more foods if we cannot eat it? And they require us to order more to takeaway to meet the $60 rule! We only pay for what we eat this time. And never visit them again. Very disappointed! Do not go there!

The best dim sum I have tried in Melbourne, the location is great they have friendly service and manage to cater to every need even through the rush. Everything is well organised and clean! The prices are also really reasonable and unless you're planning on eating twice as much as you normally would (which wouldn't be hard here everything is delicious) it is an affordable destination. I took my partner here and she expects well done traditional Asian cuisine as she is very experienced with it and even she was impressed and satisfied would come back again and again. Do not miss out on this great restaurant while exploring Melbourne even when they are extremely busy they tend to accept walk in's which is super convenient for tourists etc! They also had a great range of desserts as well as drinks available however they can be pricey (they have to make money somehow).
