I went to The Royal last night. I have to say the food was excellent when we finally received it. Was rather a long wait. The entertainment ( A young fellow called Adam I believe) was absolutely terrible. The guy was half hour late then bearly sung 3 songs which were not covers and he didn’t engage the audience at all. He spend more time stuffing about with his equipment than actually singing. Very disappointing!

The atmosphere was very community and family orientated, food was good and a fair price. Definately would go back again.

Great lunch time steak special.

Very good pub food. During Covid food and drinks must be ordered at the bar. We had live music on our Sunday so that was pleasant too. A recommended "pub grub" experience.

Phil the security guard is an example that all security guards should follow. He handles patrons with empathy that makes this place a fun pub to hang out. I have watched how he handles people all the time and he is amazing. His attitude should be taught to all security guards.

Been to the Royal 3 times in the last 2 months and very enjoyable staff always helpful and friendly booked a girls lunch in February
