Proud Peacock Restaurant

June's back! We have been customers of the Proud Peacock since its Kingsway days, and are delighted that it has reopened in a new location. The food is as great as ever, the decor is quirky and cosy, and June is as efficient, welcoming and generous as always.

Fantastic place for a great meal. Simple and straight up but the food is awesome!

Absolute gem of a place, beautiful Vietnamese food and friendly service. Also quick to be seated even though we had no booking and the place was busy. There was a mix up with 2 orders but the staff went above and beyond to cater for us. First time visit and will definetly be returning, can't thank you enough!

Well and truly worth the wait when they’re busy. Deliciously authentic Vietnamese food with an owner who loves her customers.

Busier than the old one. Less options. Pricing similar. Quality and freshness good. Soft drinks and lollies still free. Same but different. And, where's June?

Cheap and nasty smoothed over with lots of supermarket snacks as you wait to be seated, wait to be served by confused staff and have your orders stuffed up. Food was ho hum when it did get to the table but super popular with the locals.

Fantastic busy "hot spot" for really great food and a friendly family atmosphere. Service is friendly and fast. BUT , be early as the queue spills out onto the street by 6.15pm. We will be back!

Foods not bad, not great. Springvale is better. Susan's a nice lady but a bit intense. Me and my gf did not know what to expect walking in, and thought a lot of the freebies might have been intended as up sells. It's a very nice gesture unexplained, which meant we wondered what the catch was. A really great family orientated restaurant with games, lollies, and free tea drinks. Well worth the experience, which could be refined.
