Port Arthur General Store & Takeaways

One stop shop before heading to next destination - Petrol, food and toilet break. Service staff was friendly and warm. Food and coffee was okay. Better than its counterpart on the opposite site of the road.

Such a racist store. Ignored me even I was the first in the line. Took 20 mins to get a bacon and egg without an apology, the egg was almost raw.

Port Arthur so much history

Was not expecting much when I rocked in to this place. Not many options in Port Arthur so needed some grub! My wife had a fish and chip basket while I had the chicken burger and it was perfect. Not fatty, drippy, but done with plenty of care, tasted fresh. Will come back for more for my next visit!

Not much ambiance here since it's a small market combined with a food service counter and a few tables and chairs. We had a pretty good egg roll for breakfast, but it was the seafood basket we had for lunch that blew us away! It was very, very good, and a great deal considering it's big enough for two people to share. We highly recommend coming here for their amazing seafood basket!

Was looked after very well by the owner as we where needing a feed before attending the Port Arthur ghost tour at 8:30pm. Typical tourists. Our food was cooked and prepared perfectly. One of the best fish and chips we have had for a long time and that's coming from people who live in Melbourns that's suppose to be good for its food, not always. Thanks again Mr General Store.

Customer service was excellent and my hamburger was delicious. The chowder was excellent, freshly cooked and “yummy” the sea food basket was “amazing” alon with the salad which was “fresh and crunchy” The fries were amazing to say the least

Had great value dinner & breakfast over here. Great double shot latte to end off our Port Arthur visit.

Cheap petrol, and Diesel. Have cooked food and other snacks.

Great fresh fish and chips. Good value.
