Lovely dinner experience, great vibe & feeling of the space. We sat in the so-called outside area which was great. Food is awesome, loved the octopus as a starter & both main course meal of pork & sirloin steak were awesome. Would definitely come back again.

A lovely venue with great potential. We began with a cheese board and it was delicious (the staff even making adjustments for our party being allergic to nuts). The food is okay for the price. I ordered an entree of the ribs and this was really hard to eat. Very fatty and barely any meat or flavour. My partner had the lamb main and he said it was delicious. It was all over a nice experience, however; when we were leaving we were put on the spot to tip and were made to feel uncomfortable when we didn’t after spending $199 dollars on dinner. Our lovely waiters attitude soon turned a bit sour as soon as she knew we were not tipping. Is this America or Australia ?

Peacock & Jones delivered the best meals we’ve ever had. Service was exceptional for speed, friendliness and hospitality. We tried meals that were different and that you can’t eat elsewhere such as Pitivia (Duck and Pork Pie), King Dory with smoked eel sauce and soft dark chocolate with liquorice ice cream and much more. Everything was first class. Even Jeff (head chef) delivered the Pitivia Pie and explained how it takes 3 days to make. It was the best.

Tasting Menu was a treat by the fire place. All of the staff were super. Cocktails could be better, would recommend the wine instead. The whole experience was relaxed and it was a delight to dine here. Could come here regularly!

Food was incredible. Good wine list, however wasn't many beers. Good vibes and staff extremely friendly and helpful. On the dearer side but you get what u pay for. Everything beautifully cooked and presented. Good value.

Good food, oddly rude service. Perhaps young and inexperienced?

At first I thought the vegetarian options weren’t going to be that great. But I’ll eat my hat. This was one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. Not only was the food great, but the friendly service from our waiter was exceptional. This isn’t the cheapest restaurant around but for the quality of the food and service, it’s so worth it. I’d come back for sure

Wasn't overly impressed with our meal here. Entrees were really not very nice. Not sure what was in the tartare but it tasted like vinegar. Potatoes were nothing exciting and lacked flavour. Mains were much nicer, had the Dory with truffle which was very nice and well cooked. Asked for a coke Zero and was given a diet coke. When I asked about it I was blatantly told "same thing".. no they're not? Very expensive for an average meal, I think there are a lot of better options in Hobart.

Lovely food, pleasant staff and atmosphere. We tried Crispy Pigs Ears, Duck, Berkshire Pork Chop and Lamb Ribs which were all of a high standard with the Duck being the highlight. All dishes well executed. A nice dining experience.

We chose Peacock and Jones for our 5th anniversary. Great food and excellent customer service. It is more of the fine dining side but the restaurant was very welcoming. We were seated on the restaurant side. As the cold air coming through from the hotel side, I might suggest to bring something to cover up if you tend to feel cold easily. (It was an early May beginning to cool down.) Thank you very much for your hospitality!
