Located in Goulburn NSW, this is a iconic cafe/restaurant with a history of more than fifty years, it caters for a dine in experience or a takeout restaurant with a great selection of meals and salads right down to a ice cream sundae along with a selection of cakes and pastries and more, when you dine in they even have a range of wines and other drinks as well as non alcoholic beverages, staff are friendly and the service is great.
Recently had breakfast (a Big Breakfast and Bacon & Eggs). Meal was lovely. Service is good with pleasant staff. Inside looks like it's been refurbished. Will definitely call in again on next visit.
Loved my veal and garlic prawns with cream sauce, perfectly steamed vegetables and tasty cream potatoes with bacon - a big dish which I just managed to get through! Yum! Lovely service and good to see the place has had a paint and reupholster since our last visit. Would love to see a few more Greek dishes back on the menu though ππ»
14-15 years since last visit. Excellent aray of menu choices. Price point good. Little stuff up on my order but corrected in a timely fashion. If you are in the area, driving from Mel-Syd / Syd-Melb do yourself a favour and stop here. Excellent setting.
Characterful. Was greeted with "Do you want to sit down the back to avoid the authorities?". A delightful addition to the experience. Good cake and coffee.
Great service and friendly staff. The steak was juicy and tender, and cooked perfectly. Definitely a recommend to any person driving pass Goulburn.
Lovely staff and well made traditional cafe food. A trip back in time
Elegant but easy going, old school traditional cafe/restaurant/bar. Family friendly. Kitchen open at all times. Good veg options; I dare say they'd adjust for vegans too. Staff were lovely; friendly and professional.
Quite an institution in Goulburn. Sadly the waterfall at the entrance is now gone but otherwise, it's business as usual....and they do it very well. Quick and attentive service with a smile and very well prepared food that was delicious. Not cheap but that's most likely due to the serving sizes. I'm guessing that country folk eat big. Only half of our party of 6 actually managed to finish their meals, simply due to the size of the portions. Unfortunately, I'm sure that also means a lot of wastage. Regardless, judging by the patrons, I assume that a visit to The Paragon is a weekly or monthly treat for a lot of locals. As they say, busy places are that way for a reason.
A Goulburn institution. Still retains some of the Art Deco feel and offers good, simple food, done well. When everywhere else is closed, the Paragon is reliably open and a favourite stop of ours.
