Great service and nice food
Lovely, great service.
Great place for breakfast
Always Perfect
Great coffee
It's a great local Cafe from the Art Deco era, although some of the Deco has now gone and been slightly updated. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and the food is usually plenty for even the hungriest of you. There's always a good selection of cakes and pastries, and a half reasonable cellar if you like that sort of thing. Coffee is good, and it's fairly clean and tidy.
Sorry seems to be the hardest word ... from one of the senior female staff, and worse still on the bill eventhough I asked to cancel my order, $22.90 plus 15% public holiday surcharge. Hair on their big breakfast ... yes, it's a first world problem, when mentioned, no apology, she brought me another serve in literally 1 minute, it's a fresh one she said ... while we waited for more than 20 minutes on the big breakfast with hair. It's busy, a great venue, old charm, booths, long, spacious, art deco, an eclectic cafe that has been serving Goulburn and Australia since 1940, somewhat a must visit if you are travelling through Goulburn. Hopefully, the old charm country hospitality will continue to be bestowed to future generation of travellers.
Everyone you have to go here the food and staff are amazing. Definitely going back
It was lovely to be back after such a long time away. Last time we dined was immediately after lockdown and they were only covering take away service. Now, however, where do I start? 1. We didn't have a booking over a long weekend and yet they managed to fit us in, even though the place was packed. 2. Our waiter, Kyle made our dining experience worth every penny He crouched down to our level to take our order, most impressive. He mentioned if there was something we particularly wanted that may not have been on the menu to ask him and he'd see what he could do. He is friendly, extremely helpful, witty, and frankly, possibly the restaurant's greatest asset. 3. The food is flavoursome 4. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming. We were the last ones to leave staying back well after closing, but were not in the slightest made to feel pushed to leave. The single thing that can be improved on was there were no cannoli. π Thank you, you know we will be returning.
The food here was pricey, but the flavour made up for every cent spent. The staff were lovely, too. It took a while for my brother and I to have our order taken despite the lack of customers, and they checked if the people behind us had been served 3 times before checking with us once. We began to wonder if it was because of our age, as were younger than the rest of the customer base. But when they did, they were super nice and it was worth the wait.
