We waited for more than 1 hour our booking time and the food took forever to arrive. The binagoongan and bicol express had lots of fats. Food and drinks are overcharged. We had a booking of 1pm but we had to adjust for 1:30pm. We ended up eating at 3pm onwards. Very disappointed. Hope they will improve the service and food.
What an incredible culinary experience! As soon as you walk in you’re instantly greeted by the super polite staff and their friendly smiles. The menu is a modern take on delicious Filipino favourites. It is obvious that the food is tried and true family recipes, serving up gorgeous Filipino style ceviche, and sizzling baked bangus, to the very more-ish Papa J’s pork bbq… I had to have another serving it was so good! Not only does the food impress, the drinks list including San Miguel, local capital brewery beers and carefully crafted cocktails is on point. After attending their soft launch, I highly recommend trying Papa J’s… you won’t be disappointed!
I don't know what it's really called, but the mushroom burger was fantastic. I will be coming back.
We waited over an hour for our food which is to be expected given relative newness of the restaurant. Unfortunately when the food did arrive everything bland. The kare kare did not taste like anything. Texture was good but no flavour and we had to add a lot of bagoong to get flavour...but then you're just eating bagoong. The pork BBQ needed more marinade so it would actually have flavour. Nevertheless at least it was cooked right in terms of tenderness. The ukoy needs to be more evenly cooked and crispy, not soft. I hope the service improves and that they add more flavour to their food.
No concept of time. We booked a table and we've been waiting for ages. Staff is rude and unapologetic. Food came out after 1hour and 30 minutes of waiting. In reply to your reply below, being overwhelmed is not an excuse as we have a booking. If a customer booked a table you should've rejected other people from occupying the space on top of that it was you that requested us to come at 13:30 instead of 13:00 to accomodate us. Also after waiting an hour the food was sub par; here is my feedback for the food: Pork BBQ - was bland and was not marinated Binagoongan - 60% was fat and the cuts was inconsistent some pieces from the last bowl was cuts from the bbq. Bicol express-taste more like oyster sauce than bicol express and same feedback with the cuts. There was no compensation offered and the staff was unapologetic.
Great food and customer service. Highly recommend 10/10!
The beef pares bao is an absolute must try!
Beer overpriced......13$ a bottle of red horse. 5 bottles equivalent of one slab of corona beer 🍻.
